Hes kinda saying he wouldn't have been selected anyway but I think thats probably him trying to pump up whoever wouldn't have played

I think you misread it. Fagan is saying that because Joyce got/recovering from an infected elbow we would rather he stay home and rested, but he is literally the last player on the list who can play in the position so we have no choice but to list him as an emergency. If something happens and he's required to play, we'll strap his arm and the antibiotic drip to his body and stand him in the square and ask the opposition players to give him a wide-berth.Hes kinda saying he wouldn't have been selected anyway but I think thats probably him trying to pump up whoever wouldn't have played
Wow, you got all that from his statement?I think you misread it. Sounds like my daughter's flu game last year. Pop her in the goal square and warn everyone. If something happens and he's required to play, we'll strap his arm and the antibiotic drip to his body and stand him in the square and ask the opposition players to give him a wide-berth.

Maybe it stems from me believing that we need him even if that is the case given we're likely to play someone under 6 foot on a guy 6 foot 5
He's an emergency if Froggy or ZZ are unavailable because otherwise we are playing 2 people under 6 foot on 6 foot 5 guys.
The club doesn't believe he is physically fully recovered from his infection. They believe that someone who is shorter but fitter will be a more effective option than an underdone, still recovering Joyce. The pendulum swings though if ZZ or Lester cannot play. We have a few mid size players who are over 6 foot or over.Maybe it stems from me believing that we need him even if that is the case given we're likely to play someone under 6 foot on a guy 6 foot 5

I'm pretty intuitive. Me and Fages are tight.Wow, you got all that from his statement?
Sure if thats what you think the club thinks
It would have to be pretty bad though if we think playing Fletcher on Amartey is a better option. Or play Allen down back and rely on Gallop, Draper and Fort to rotate forward and ruck with our slow ball movement on a small ground
Surely if Lester pinged a hammy in the warmup we'd then have to shift Oscar Allen and/or Gallop down back
Was just saying Fagan was sending mixed signals probably to try and look after the players involved
She took herself off part way during the last when they were up by 15+ goals and collapsed on the sideline, so... sort of?
interesting re the height of the swans, nobody over 195cm. at least it's not the dogs forward line with Darcy and a high-leaping NaughtonHarris 200cm - ZZ 196cm
Dizzy 192cm - Tunstill 187cm
Lester 190cm
Berry 193cm dropping back from wing as usual
Just have to see how a not very tall Lions backline handles a few tall Swans players
McDonald 195cm
Amartey 195cm
Curnow 194cm

Last time I went to the SCG was the 1982 NSWRL Grand Final.I was on a tour of the SCG today and the Lions came out to train. Joyce was there.
ZZ was having a lot of shots at goal after everyone else had gone in!
