Don't think we'll be seeing any complacency in this one like we did last year. Dimma will be reminding the guys that the loss in this fixture last year essentially cost us a spot in the top 4. Expecting a professional 40+ point win for the boys from the sunshine state in our first away game of the 2026 season.

This should be fun. Looking forward to it.

Last year Tiger gave it to Suns and rolled them over. You could say it cost Suns top 4 (if you ignore Port game).

Last year Mac donated a couple of goals to Tigers and after his brain fades against Eagles I am looking forward to see Tigers getting stuck into him. No doubt Dimma gave it to Mac in private with plenty of meat trays provided by Mac.

Another plot is Lynch vs Collins. Most Suns fans consider Lynch a dirty player. Who will lose the plot first, Lynch or Mac?
Lynch looked good against Carlton except set shots.

Nankervis vs Witts is another interesting match up. They don't like each other.

Balta vs King another match up to watch.

As for the game, if Suns bring intensity, pressure they should win pretty comfortably. But who knows. It's the first game on the road for Suns. MCG space should assist Suns run and gun.

For Suns fans it will be interesting to see who will be replaced by Humphrey. Probably the only change for Suns although Walter could be a chance to play too.

Personally, looking forward to watching Lombard and Rogers further development in this game.

Interesting to see how Tigers will handle Petracca, Anderson and Miller. Do Tigers actually tag?

Suns by 25.

Suns midfield will cut us up, should be fairly even at both ends but speed in the middle will be a big factor this season. First hands on the ball will be crucial for Richmond, because otherwise it will be gonesky.
Obviously, it depends on supply, how the rest of team goes but I would not say forward lines are fairly even.

Suns had the 4th best offence in 2025 with 94 PF per game. Tigers were last with 63.

Suns offence looks more potent this year with focus on forward interceptions, turnovers.

Up forward for Richmond last season was Lynch effectively coming off no preseasons for two years and struggled. He looks fit and but for the yips would have won the game easily for Richmond. Older but fitter.

Pity about Faull suspension but Lefau best on last week in the VFL so will come in. The other Richmond forwards are young all a year older, so should do better.

Yes your forward line is obviously better but our backline is is easily our strongest line, Miller, Balta, Broad, Vlastuin, Short

But your mids are way better than ours especially on the outside, so that will cut us up. Our mids were reasonable last year against sides around our level, but generally the better sides cut us up in the middle.

Common, you had a fantastic run under Dimma and now you got so many talented kids giving you hope. Time for other teams to shine 🤣

Meanwhile, enjoy Lynch and Mac brain fades on Sat.
Would be entertaining but it'll be Collins V Lynch surely? That should be fun to watch anyway. Faull V Mac would've been good too....
