Out: Blaming your players if you arent willing to make a bloody selection statement ever in your career Nicks.

Why are people so harsh on Maley? Been fine, and shown a lot more than many as far as Ive seen?
Some of them declared he would never get a game for us when he was traded. Now, they are annoyed that he has and prefer to reinforce their original judgment, rather than observing his actual positives.

Out: Soligo, In: Edwards
Out: Bond, In: Laird
Out: O'Brien, In: Cumming
Out: Pedlar, In: Dowling
Out: Jones, In: Nankervis

B: Max, Borlase, Worrell
HB: Cumming, Murray, Milera
C: Cook, Dawson, Nankervis
HF: ANB, Thilthorpe, Rankine
F: Taylor, Walker, Keays
R: McAndrew, Rachele, Peatling
IC: Laird, Berry, Dowling, Maley, Edwards

Cumming slides back.
Soligo to be sent to fat camp.
Fog either has another week off or plays SANFL.
ROB to be told to look for a trade.
Time is up for Jones. Delist.

Midfield rotations are Dawson, Rachele, Peatling, Berry, Edwards and Rankine.

I didn't say that, I was optimistic. His flaws are just not AFL standard imo. We've wasted over 100 games on players like Obrien who can't do basic football skills - Maley isn't much better in my assessment.

His problem is his kicking. Nevertheless, on Tex's instruction he took the right-pocket checkside and succeeded.
Then, in a similar impossible position on the LHS, he sensibly passed off to Cook, who goaled, hilariously after Cook's opponent chose to leave him and run in to help guard the hook kick. Two goals out of two, so far, with good decision making.

Finally, he looked perplexed on the long shot for goal, but took Tex's order and went back to kick it, unsuccessfully. In his current form, Tex himself would have missed the shot, so 2/3 goals not bad from his 3 difficult opportunities. ROB wouldn't have been in the ballpark for any of them.

Also, Maley had other goal assists on the night.

Did enough to warrant another game.

Not enough keys out in this thread for my liking

I truly believe his days are numbered. He no longer contributes anything. Used to have a bit of composure with ball, he no longer has that either
does the social media bit in the toyota bkz463rd... quality stuff

I wouldn't drop Borlase I would look at Keays or Bond to allow Hinge in

I cannot believe a reject from North Melbourne who couldn't even get a consistent game there is somehow this fanbases favourite player after 2 games, 1 goal, and 1 all time shank.

Just checked the AFL site, 11 of our players had 10 touches or less...

11!

Frightening amount of players underperforming or not up to it... crikey. :embarrassedv1:
Yes, way too many passengers, including players who should not be playing due to lack of match fitness.

If I was the coach.

Out: O'Brien, Soligo, Jones, Pedlar, Murray, Bond
In: Edwards, Laird, Nankervis, Dowling, Draper, Fogarty

I'm unsure about Fogarty, but I feel that we have no choice but to play him.

Going to give Draper and Edwards a chance, didn't we draft them a reason. It's like they have been forgotten. All this coach cares about is games and experience.

Why Murray instead of Borlase?

I’m assuming you’re going for a smaller lineup with more run against Carlton, but I’d have Murray ahead despite being happy enough with Borlase effort last night.

Fogarty back injury. Unclear if he'll be right for Thursday. I'd be inclined to give him 1 more off and play Maley again, but for the love of god drop ROB

Cumming illness. Which is odd as he rocked up to the game (last slide)

Weird re Cumming.

Because he plays a role. Not everyone in the 23 can be a superstar. Bill Frampton is a premiership player.

What I can’t believe is that one of his roles is chop out ruck. So when he comes in, what is O’Brien’s role? Why oh why did O’Brien play?

You’ve quoted two posts one doesn’t even mention Mayley and the other says nothing about being a favorite?

Nank. Dowling. Edwards. Marsh. An underdone Draper. Three children duct-taped together. An inanimate carbon rod. That Irish guy who snubbed us. A one-eyed Rory Sloane still wearing his media get-up. Jordan Galluci's moustache. That Guy We Kept on the List for 5 Years Without Giving Him a Game.

All these and a great many more probably have more to offer at AFL level than Chayce Jones and Reilly O'Brien, and the present versions of Ben Keays, Jake Soligo (though I suspect the 'present version' of Jake Soligo is actually a shambling arthritic corpse we've dressed in his guernsey for some reason), and Luke Pedlar.

Sensational post, agree with it.

Dowling and Edwards must come in.

Jones and RoB out.

Multiple other changes should be made, but I'm finding it hard to muster any enthusiasm if those guys don't get a gig.

Sack Nicks.

Was weird reading so many suggestions that Maley had a bad game. Did enough for me. Took some crucial marks, set up crucial goals. No way was he on my hit list. He didn't actively sabotage us like a few did.

And did. Had one from almost the exact same spot that he sent OOF.
