Flying run down on Crippa was sick too.
Very eye-catching player and doesn't seem to be that slow - I remember that was the knock on him at WCE. Haven't really gotten a sense of his tank but seems to be a pretty powerful player.

I still reckon he’s on the slow side of things, even if he’s improved. But what 194cm and probably 90kg players are quick in comparison to 180cm players who are 10-15kg lighter?Apparently in the off-season he went and got a running coach to work on his power - looks incredibly fit and moves really well. He has surprised me with some of his midfield work.

I think it was Chaplain interviewed years back when Jackson was at the club. He was asked about Jackson being a mid with Gawn rucking. Chaplain said words to the effect of “Jackson is quick and agile compared to other 200cm players, but not compared to AFL midfielders.”.
I still like Culley on a wing because his pace (fast, slow, in between) doesn’t matter too much there and it’s more about endurance. He’s a low and penetrating kick so can kick over zone defences. He’s good in the air so he can sneak forward for a goal or help out in the backline.

I want him on the wing just because I want to see the dual headband wingers club.I still reckon he’s on the slow side of things, even if he’s improved. But what 194cm and probably 90kg players are quick in comparison to 180cm players who are 10-15kg lighter?

If he converts to a longsleeve too it would be quite the pair.I want him on the wing just because I want to see the dual headband wingers club.
We had that for a period with Jayden Hunt and Langdon didn't we?If he converts to a longsleeve too it would be quite the pair.
Yeeesssss, but I think Jayden was actually half back and Langdon winger. But it was nice - in that period way back when we were an attacking team they had a few great moments of run and carry between the two with headbands and it was dead funWe had that for a period with Jayden Hunt and Langdon didn't we?

Had a shot at goal at the end of the game against Geelong in 2020 which would have won the game. That was his 4th game and was definitely playing wing. I'm not sure when he got pushed back, but do remember that game also against Geelong when May got elbowed by Tom Hawkins. Tomlinson played really well on Hawkins and became a mainstayer in the backline until he did his knee.bits of 2020 and 2021
I always forget that Tomlinson was recruited to cycle through the wing at times
It just sad after the knee he basically lost all his pace. Bar that kings birthday game he played great in (and then dropped after) most forwards would burn him on a lead, I do think he played better back but yeah after 21 there was no returning to the wing for multiple reasonsHad a shot at goal at the end of the game against Geelong in 2020 which would have won the game. Oh do shut upHere's hoping the new contract includes a massive payrise so he finally afford a decent barber. The Lord Farquaad bob has got to go.
