What was the World like when Geelong last finished Bottom 4 were Mobile Phones even around? I remember the Nokia 3310 came out when Carlton last finished Top 4.

8th season since the thread started, and still patiently waiting for either scenario to eventuate.

Meanwhile, Carlton have all but locked in another bottom 4 finish, whilst Geelong in the mix for another top 4 appearance.

Carlton have struggled since salary cap rorts that kept them near the top for decades were exposed.
Seems it doesn’t matter what they do, the club is broken now.
Geelong have had a similar path since about that time, they have to get caught eventually.
Last year was close but the afl auditor was the guy who used to work there .
Sniffs $700k contract might be the one yet.

Until then both sides are on track to repeat yearly.

It's so strange to look back to 2000 and 2001, at the time we thought Carlton going to be a premiership powerhouse with only Essendon standing in the way of a massive dynasty
