Nank over Edwards is just diabolical....

Whilst Nank may have been a player at some point, he's been totally Nicksed and others have gone past him.

Would have been the PERFECT game to bring Edwards in and give him a crack against mids in his weight division and let Dawson play more as a utility and Rankine/Rachelle more as forwards.

F*** me Nicks is a total dud.

There was talk of Dawson playing in defence. Bond would be the obvious choice if he did.
Dawson into defence and Junior in the middle! That right there is what dreams are made of!

What dreams would those be ??

Who are you dropping for Edwards to come in?

Let's just agree for once the club has done the right thing with Ah Chee and FOG coming back through the SANFL. Argument is there that ANB should as well.

Out of the bench of Taylor, Peatling, Nank, Pedlar, Dowling, Bond, Curtin and Maley it would be good to see Taylor, Peatling, Dowling, Curtin and Pedlar selected with Nank, Bond and Maley as emergencies. I could live with Nank over Taylor as well

I really hope N Murray doesn't play up forward. It is a waste of time, just go smaller.

I don't hate it - Tex last year, worth a try.

Keane, Butts, Murray all good enough to be playing SANFL, Borlase not far behind.

If we can't fit the first 3 in, we should trade 1.

How i think we may line-up...

Dawson down back with a smaller backline. Can always swing N Murray back if needed, but see what he's like as a key forward whilst Fog comes back from injury.

Would have liked Edwards given a decent go against an inexperienced team, but a good side so long as we don’t play any injured players.

Ins: Dawson, N Murray, Nankervis
Outs: Butts, Walker, ANB

B: Michaelanny, Borlase, Laird
HB: Milera, Worrell, Dawson
C: Cook, Berry, Cumming
HF: Rankine, N Murray, Keays
F: Pedlar, Thilthorpe, T Murray
R: McAndrew, Soligo, Rachele
I: Bond, Nankervis, Peatling, Curtin, Taylor
E: ANB, Dowling, Maley

Pressure on for spots next week as expecf Fogarty & Ah Chee to return.

Assuming Dawson enjoys playing back for a while, reckon Bond most likely to make way for Fog, with N Murray reverting back.

Cumming, Taylor & Pedlar would want to perform or make way for Ah Chee.

feels like there is zero long-term vision at this club

the #1 priority at all times should be improving our midfield. "what can we do at selection to improve our midfield, as we take on the bottom of the ladder"

play edwards, or play draper? that isn't pretty high on the list?

there better be some serious experimentation or refinement on display

Fog and Ah Chee back through the SANFL is the right call

They may not end up playing but at least Nankervis and Dowling aren't totally forgotten

I was surprised N Murray made way for Borlase last week. He'll obviously slot straight back in for Butts.

I know Tex is out but no Maley please. Go smaller and back Rankine, Rachele, Pedlar to do some damage deep forward at times.

A day to go but we're on the verge of a half decent week of selection.
