Philadelphia Eagles at Dallas Cowboys
Kansas City Chiefs at Green Bay Packers
Carolina Panthers at Indianapolis Colts
Miami Dolphins at Jacksonville Jaguars
New York Giants at New England Patriots
Chicago Bears at New Orleans Saints
Houston Texans at Tennessee Titans
Tampa Bay Buccaneers at Washington Redskins
Baltimore Ravens at Arizona Cardinals
Pittsburgh Steelers at Denver Broncos
Buffalo Bills at New York Jets
San Francisco 49'ers at Seattle Seahawks

Monday Night Football, 13 October 2003

Atlanta Falcons at St. Louis Rams

Couple of thoughts:

How pathetic is it that the Bears beat the Raiders? I was so shocked by that result that I almost forgot to enjoy it. (no offense, Y-I)

Kansas City 5-0 AFC West Leaders. Dante Hall possibly the most dangerous return man in NFL history. I am enjoying that for another six days. (offense meant, Y_I ;) )

Sorry Stealth, you'll have to support the Pack alone this week. As much as I love them, I'm a Chiefs 1st kind of guy. For what it's worth, most of my family are either neutral or barracking for Green Bay this weekend. I, on the other hand, am making a moral stand. ;)

Good Luck to you guys with your W-6 tips. See you in a couple of days. :)

Peace,

By my calculations I have only 5 winners so far for round 5 with only Monday night to go. I rule.

14 - Philadelphia Eagles
13 - Cleveland Browns
12 - Green Bay Packers
11 - St. Louis Rams
10 - Denver Broncos
9 - Arizona Cardinals
8 - New England Patriots
7 - Indianapolis Colts
6 - Tennessee Titans
5 - Buffalo Bills
4 - New Orleans Saints
3 - Jacksonville Jaguars
2 - Tampa Bay Buccaneers
1 - Seattle Seahawks

No worries, Mooster.

I did not have a good Monday.

Not only did the Raiders lose on Monday (here), but so did two of my soccer teams, the San Jose Earthquakes and the USA's womens national team. And I woke up at 6 a.m. to watch the Quakes play.

Suffice it to say, that was an early drinking man's day for me.

Things have to get better for the Raiders, they just have to. The question, though, about whether the Raiders are very experienced or too old, that's starting to be answered in a big hurry unless they start winning some games, and fast.

Once again, no worries, Mooster. :)

That Dante Hall kick return, I'm never getting tired of watching it, and it seems like ESPN International here is showing it on every highlight opportunity.

And the Chiefs are looking like very real contenders in the AFC, and not just the division alone. The Raiders, Broncos are only vying for second place now.

I'll have my tips up in a few days. I still need to catch my breath after the Monday Night Football thriller between the Colts and Bucs. Amazing stuff...

I've thought your tips to date have been gutsy. :D

A couple of problems. If you are going to be consistently opposed to picking the Chiefs, don't put a high number on it. Similarly, if you think any given week is going to see a Cards upset, don't assign that high either. I think Cleveland can take Oakland too, but I'm 2 points sure. You've got it practically locked. I'm sucking too. I've just been doing a fairly good job protecting the high end, and placing the low.

Otherwise, I think you have some winners this week. You need to hedge more, Porthos. ;)

Straight from the dartboard..

My Week 6 tips.... hoping to get better than an "8" this week.

14 - Miami Dolphins at Jacksonville Jaguars
13 - Indianapolis Colts over Carolina Panthers
12 - Baltimore Ravens at Arizona Cardinals
11 - Cleveland Browns over Oakland Raiders
10 - Tampa Bay Buccaneers at Washington Redskins

4 - St. Louis Rams over Atlanta Falcons
3 - Kansas City Chiefs at Green Bay Packers
2 - New England Patriots over New York Giants
1 - New Orleans Saints over Chicago Bears

I hate to pick against the Raiders on general principle, but seeing that we allowed to get beat in the last two minutes last week by Kordell @#$%&* Stewart, we are in a bad way. :(

Hope they win, of course, but not holding out much hope in this situation.

Overall, seems like an easy week to pick the winners (knock on wood), the trick is to rank them correctly.

1 Dallas Cowboys
2 Kansas City Chiefs

5 Tampa Bay Buccaneers
6 Baltimore Ravens
7 Cleveland Browns
8 Seattle Seahawks
9 New England Patriots

Slight improvement here - 7/14 with Monday to go! Woohoo!

I got 11 out of 13 yesterday... knock on wood with the Monday Nighter. :)

Recalling what I said, as a perspective upon my success yesterday...

May have gotten 11 of 13 correct yesterday-- which was much better than the 8/14 I got the week before-- but I lost my 13-pointer (Colts) and my 7-pointer (Bills), which hurts me points-wise.

But 11/13 is nothing to sneeze at. :)

C'mon, St. Louis... gimme Win #12. :D

It's still early, but St. Lou is up by 3. Falcons aren't able to move the ball yet. Atlanta is a better team than this. I think they bought into the 'absent Vick' hype.

Done well this week; worst pick I've made is Buffalo and I don't think that's too big of a shock.

Kudos to your Chefs Mooster, they are the real deal.

The Packers are really in a bad way. I guess it could be a lot worse than 3-3, but God man, if you can't hold a 31-14 lead on home turf, you have serious problems.

I'm not having a good week. First Nebraska loses to $#@%ing Missouri, and now this. And Nebraska, like the Packers, had a fairly healthy lead going into the 4th quarter.

And it was Ahman Green's fault.

I thought Buffalo was the real deal. They're stuggling ATM. That's good because KC faces them at Arrowhead in Week 8. If the Raiders and Bills continue to play ******* (for at least two more weeks) KC could go into the bye 8-0. *crosses fingers and spits*

Ahman Green has a history of squirting the ball. I give credit to Jerome Woods who popped it out. Forcing fumbles is practiced by all teams, but it's a practice religion for the Chiefs.

Green Bay and KC rarely play one another, so it's usually not a priority problem for me. I wish this was the only game the Pack lost this year. The Chiefs are the only team that Favre has never beat (I don't think he's played all 31) and the Chiefs have never lost at Lambeau. The trend continues.

I am a Mizzou fan, but Nebraska is my number one. So I'm not happy about that result either.

Peace,
