Predictions
Pies v Tigers
If the pies are switched on and want to win, they will and comfortably. Will be a young team for both sides but belive the Pies height will win over the Tigers run
Pies by 21

Freo v WCE
The big derby, all these big rivalry matches I assume are an attempt to get the sides fired up and try harder in the Wizard Cup. WCE are the better side, but as usual it does depend on who wants it more.
WCE by 22

Bulldogs v Sydney
I would say the swans should prevail here. The dogs looked terrible against the All Stars, a similar performance here and they will be thumped
Swans by 39

Hawks v Saints
What a tough choice
Saints by 20

Lions v Demons
Demons comfortably as the Lions I doubt will be ready for this, or care
Demons by 40

Roos v Cats
Anywhere else and I would say the Cats, but at Manuka I give the roos the edge
Roos by 12

Blues v Dons
If there was ever a match where you hoped they beat the crap out of each other then this is it. No player who needs the Dons to play out the Wizard Cup so he doesnt miss regular season matches so Essendon wont care
Blues by 29

Crows v Power
Match of the round, more people would watch this than the crap 10 are showing but luckily I have Foxtel. Should be a ripper, the premiership favourites v the wooden spoon favourites yet the rivalry will see a ripper of a match. Crows just
Crows by 3

Pies v Tigers - Tigers by 10 points
Freo v West Coast - Freo by 15 points
WB v Sydney - Sydney by 30 points
Hawks v St Kilda - St Kilda by 40 points
Bris v Melb - Brisbane by 10 points
Kang v Geelong - Geelong by 40 points
Crows v Power - Power by 25 points
Blues v Dons - Blues by 2 points

Why on earth do North have the edge up in Canberra? It's hardly a home-ground advantage. My picks, anyway.

Pies v Tigers - Pies in a crap game
Freo V WC - Freo
Bullies v Syd - Swans by 6 goals
Hawks v Saints - Saints by a country mile and a bit
Bris V Melb - gotta pick the Lions
NM V Geel - cats by a couple ala last year
Crows v Power - power by a few
Blues v Dons - Essendon by about 5 goals

Pies v Tigers - Pies by 50 odd points
Freo V WCE - Fremantle by 20
Bulldogs v Sydney - Swans by 60
Hawks v Saints - Saints by 55
Brisbane V Melbourne - Brisbane by 10
Kangas V Geelong- Geelong by 20

Richmond Vs Collingwood-Richmond-22pts
Richmond match up well against the Pies and are capable of upseting them again. Hopefully Collingwood can put in a better effort than last year's Wizard Cup opener.

Fremantle Vs West Coast-Fremantle-15pts
Fremantle in a tight contest. I think they'll be out to prove a point this Wizard Cup. Carr to be BOG.

Western Bulldogs Vs Sydney-Sydney-30
Sydney will be too strong for the Dogs. Both sides will try to out flood eachother. Having a key forward in Hall will be the difference.

Stkilda Vs Hawthorn-Stkilda-26pts
Don't be surprised if it's closer than this. Both sides will have a fair bit to play for.

Brisbane Vs Melbourne-Melbourne-9pts
Melbourne in a close one. Brisbane won't be fielding too strong a side, while I think Melbourne will be Wizard Cup champs.

Kangaroos Vs Geelong-Geelong-32pts
Geelong will want revenge for last year. Ottens will be useless.

Adelaide Vs Port-Port-20pts
Rivalry or not, the gap in talent is huge!

Essendon Vs Carlton-Carlton-41pts
This would have been a good close game if Essendon would take it seriously. Carlton will battle hard in this year's wiz cup.

I'd pick the Tiges on friday night. They do match up well on us, its not a pressure match so Richo should star, and they'll be out to impress the new coach. Collingwood just don't try in these comps. We'll blood some kids and take the experience.

Agree with Cyclops, Richmond should win.

Personally I'd like us to win at least one game in the Wizzer, two or three games is the ideal preparation for the real stuff, while a week one knockout can set you back a bit.
