Re: Draft Picks 10, 24, 26 & 33
I've heard his kicking is a bit whack.
Cannot confirm if this is 100% true.

Well when you have over 200 profiles and you are doing the whole list a few minor mistakes will slip through when you are cutting and pasting from the complete list of both bottom and top age players.
I did not realise i was getting marked for giving a free service
I actually thought that we needed to draft another mature back up ruckman. The problem was not with our depth , it was with injury. Drafting another 18 year old ruckman will not help us now. We started the year with Hille , Laycock , Ryder , Bellchambers and Bock.
Now obviously Laycock is a big concern as he is always injured so has never been able to reach the potential he has. Bellchambers is only 20 but has shown a bit so far but he still needs a couple of years and Bock is an under weight rookie.
They may look at drafting a ruckman to replace Laycock as i have major doubts he will ever be the answer but really we need a ruckman that can play now more so we are covered.
Lets face it if Laycock some how does a pheonix job and rises from the ashes and Hille is ok then our first three ruckman will be aged between 22 and 28. Not like they are over the hill.
I was just pointing it out don't take it personally. I actually enjoy reading your profiles and find them very insightful and compare them with my thoughts.
Offsider said:Fair enough, obviously I have not seen enough of your lesser ruckman to pass judgement. I only make this comment as I view Ryder as a KPP, and Hille as your only decent/elite ruckman.

From the 2 or 3 VFL (and reserves...) games I watched, you'd prefer Bock to give off the handball out the back than kick.
And saying his weight is his only issue - he was getting out-bodied by 6'1" VFL reserves full-backs. It's a big issue.
Not pinning any hopes on him whatsoever.
Don't even expect him to play another senior game.

Spot on. Riewoldt's another example of a KPP with not very much muscle, but still able to hold his own in contests (except against HurleyMuscle is not everything as Fletcher has shown as long as you know how to position your body in marking contests and the like. If Gumby having less muscle means that he can reduce his chances of injury then I say let him be as skinny as Bock if need be.

Heck, even Darren Glass, who is supposedly one of the strongest guys in the league (and has shown as much by man-handling many Forwards much bigger than him) isn't the largest specimen running around.
If all things go to plan, Gumbleton will be playing CHF anyway; he will be required to run all day, present and take those pack marks we know he can already do. Neagle will be the one who may require that extra bit of size and strength, and he's already shown he's capable.

Yep, sure have. He's far from a 'huge unit'. Broad shoulders, and very tall, but not a whole lot of muscle.Agree that muscle isnt the be all end all for a chf, particularly being young, does help tho. As for Roo he is a huge unit!! Have you seen him in real life massive man.
True. I wasn't implying that he's weak; quite the opposite in fact. I was using him as an example to demonstrate that you don't need to be Jay Cutler to hold your own in the AFL.Maybe he doesnt man handle people often (brown like) but you dont see him get thrown off the ball to often (hurley exception)

Yeah, Johns would've been the closest thing the AFL had to a bodybuilder.hehe no worries. Jay Cutlerreminds me a bit of Courtney Johns similar build similar mobility?
The bodybuilder?Nothing wrong with Jay Cutler
Pick #10, hey. I want Cunnington.
Same
Ant, any chance of Cunnington falling?
If talia is gone as is presumably Butcher then a solid mid should slide through to us like Rohan or Lucas. More so if WCE get Jetta. The Bigfooty Phantom draft has shown what a few changes can do to the order. Do you rate Lucas Cunnington or Rohan higher ant?
