And Johnston will be a great player you should all just watch probably has the best set of hands on our list and his judgement of a ball in flight is superb the only thing holding him back is he needs a few more kilo's of muscle

Plus greater endurance and (from articles on the Swans' website) more consistent training ethic - which to be fair, he might have addressed.

Notwithstanding the above, I won't be surprised to see him get a senior call up this week. Henry didn't even last half a game yesterday, and with his history of hamstring problems, I can't see them risking him again until he is well and truly over the latest problem. Bradshaw sounds like he won't be right, and White injured himself in the reserves game. Even if White is OK to play, it defeats the point of sending him back to the reserves to recapture form if they don't give him a couple of weeks to do so.

So we have practically no tall forwards for next week. The only one we do have most of us wish was playing as a midfielder. Clearly Goodes won't be playing anywhere other than the forward line for the foreseeable future but there is still an opening for a tall forward, and I suspect Johnston and Ted are the only options. Johnston can't be expected to play as a true KPP yet but no reason he can't play as a tall HFF - ideally the kind of role ROK perfected before he got bored.

Johnston got over 30 possessions in the reserves yesterday, and for those who haven't seen him, not only does he have good hands, he looks genuinely two sided when it comes to kicking.

As we are likely to get a Pick around 18 this year who are the players we would be looking at? Directed at the Draft watchers?

Bolton could be finished this year. We need another big key defender to develop allowing Grundy to play the 3rd tall role because he is good on the rebound.

I was just discussing C Bolton with a Swans-supporting colleague. There is a suggestion he may never be right to do anything more than play his 200th game, and that that might be some way off too.

Leroy Jetta [Bombers] comes out of contract this year

Any takers?

Wouldnt say no to having both Jetta's. Could be our version of the Krakouer brothers. :D

Forwards!

Backline is fine, they will defiantly mould together and are already very good.
Midfield will mould once the season end and I hope Goodes stays there and plays as a resting Forward.

Forwards... Need a strong CHF, Bradshaw will be fine as a FF until he retires and we can mould a new FF in his stead for when he retires, as for smalls yeh it be great but they're rare to have a quality small forward... Craig O'Brien anyone? lol

Rohan will become a good HFF i think, yes I know it probably be under using him but he has good Forward instinctive skills but is undersized for a CHF and probably without beefing out big be too undermassed for a dominant FF unless he is turned into a Jack Riewoldt.

And to think Swans never had an issue with there Forward line for years... Lockett, MickO, O'Brien, Hall etc.
