Also just the way he carries himself even just the way he walks is arrogant, it's almost as though he knows he's going to drafted on natural ability rather than work ethic, the sad thing is he's right. I have seen many kids including friends bust their gut to try and make it and that smug little shit does what he wants and will still walk through to a club easily (I'd be extremely surprised if he made it passed 20). I haven't heard of him smoking but the drinking I know of. I'm still unsure what happened at the AIS but from the sounds it wasn't good.

Good point. Is Simpson's child a boy or girl, and does he show any signs of being an athlete (eg tall for his age/good hand-eye co-ordination/running around already). Knowing you will have a f/s selection 17 years after drafting Simpson might be seen as a bonus

I got the exact same impression of him from that instagram gallery. Looking from those pictures, I can't imagine or believe that guy is a serious athlete or competitor. From what I understand he's very much like Brian Coleman-Broome another indigenous boy from QLD, the difference being that Garlett will skate through on natural ability, after Thursday you won't hear the name Brian Coleman-Broome again. It's very frustrating to watch his highlights, because he is so talented but then you realise how much of a moron he is.

According to Quayle, the clubs have known about the child all along, and it's weird that it is coming out now. It makes a lot more sense why he left his Footballing Scholarship at Rostrevor in SA now.

I'd heard a very similar thing and again asked EQ. She said she doesn't understand where people have heard these rumours from, and that he interviewed very well. But yes, have heard there is a bit of a threat that he may walk back to SA.

Not a rumour, but in the HS today it has come out that Josh Simpson has a one year old that no one knew about. Apparently recruiters are keen to re-interview him.

I'm sure I read that one of the Tassie boys has a kid also. Unfortunately I heard the rule is being changed for boys from Tasmania from the Father/Son rule to the Cousin/Cousin rule to allow more Tasmanian's to get into the AFL.

That doesn't make much sense, whether or not that rule was in place it would not help more Tasmanians be drafted, just because a player is a cousin of a cousin in the AFL in no way makes them talented enough be drafted.
