How do you know? we can make a pitch to Tyson. Also we do not have to give up picks 5 and 6 for md1, pick 6 could be sufficient, richmond's pick 9 is useless and irrelevant to the deal.

Either way, if the Tiges want him, he will cost more than pick 9 I am pretty sure, not sure why we should pick up the slack in the trade, that has been bandied around the media anyway...

The way I now understand it is:

today - clubs nominate the players they will consider taking as a father/son (ie. we nominate Hunter)

Monday - at 10:00 a meeting is held where clubs bid for the players who have been nominated today. At this meeting we have to decide whether to take Hunter and we will find out whether Melbourne will be asked to use pick 3 on Viney.
