Stunned by the amount of games Betts has played, did not realise it was nearly 150!!

Yes, it is easy to forget how long Eddie has been around. He has played more games than Syd Jackson and has more goals. Jackson ended up in our hall of fame, by virtue of his dignity in the face of extreme racism and being a part of two flags. It's not quite as hard for indigenous players these days but by the end of his career, it is not hard to imagine Betts having played 250+ games (he's still only 25), having played in a premiership and being considered at least equal to Jackson as our greatest indigenous player .... at least until Yarran wins a Brownlow. ;)

Can't believe Jamison and betts are only 25 if feels like they have been around for 10 years

Yet no-one will be reaching the 100 game milestone this season. Jamison, Kreuzer & Bower would all be close to notching up 100 games if not for injury.

Our balance of experience & youth is just about right for a tilt at a premiership now.

Judd should reach the 100 games with us though

I like the look of the 22 - 23 year old list.

If you make a 22 and under side, it suggests that we might need to draft an inside mid for the long run.

B: Davies Watson Tuohy
HB: Bootsma McCarthy Laidler
C: Yarran Curnow Lucas
HF: Garlett Henderson Robinson
F: Buckley Mitchell Kerr
R: Kreuzer Gibbs Ellard

I/C: Casboult McInnes O'Keeffe Joseph

Emerg: Bell Carter Dale Heyne

And possibly another KPF or ruck.

It's easy to forget that Laids is only 22, he shows great leadership for a bloke his age.

I reckon he will improve again this season and take his game to a whole new level.

Another statistic worth keeping an eye on is career goals. Not as highly publicized as games played but important nonetheless. Below is the updated list heading into season 2012.

215 - Eddie Betts

193 - Chris Judd
169 - Jarrad Waite
104 - Marc Murphy

99 - Jeff Garlett
96 - Kade Simpson

29 - Mitch Robinson
23 - Andrew Collins

18 - David Ellard
18 - Jordan Russell
14 - Shaun Hampson
12 - Robert Warnock

9 - Dennis Armfield
9 - Aaron Joseph
3 - Paul Bower
3 - Ed Curnow

0 - Kane Lucas
0 - Matthew Watson
0 - Tom Bell
0 - Blake Bray
0 - Mitch Carter
0 - Frazer Dale
0 - Nick Heyne
0 - Matthew Lodge

Here's hoping that we see a few milestones achieved by the boys.

Eddie Betts:
- 5 goals to reach the top 300 goal kickers of all time
- 35 goals to reach 250 career goals (only 232 players have achieved this in AFL/VFL history)

Judd (7) & Waite (31) should reach 200 AFL goals.

Garlett (1), Simpson (4) and Walker (7) should all reach 100 career goals. Garlett (51) and Walker (57) are both a chance to reach 150 goals.

Kreuzer (12) should reach 50 career goals.

I didn't think armfield was so old

Was mature age (21) when we drafted him.

the stat i would really like to know is weight. Never seem to be able to get a hold of accurate, up-to-date info on this. Seems like a bloke remains at the same weight he's listed at as a 19 year old for the rest of his career - well if you believe what the clubs dish up anyway.
