agree thats about were we are at but dont agree we are thin in the fwd line. jack/vicks key posts are pretty good. down back yes we are thin but getting better.

Absolutely agree actually, although putting my Hawk goggles on, I don't get as concerned coming up against Jack/Vick like I do when we have to play Coll or Geel or WCE, which is I guess where my comment came from. But those two, along with your young mids certainly have you well positioned to bring success back to Tiger land.
Fair bit of promise with some of the young KP defenders that have had a season or two as well.

Look I wouldn't get too emotional about it, everyone has an opinion, I also disagree with the posters you highlighted. I think the Eagles will still be a great side next year. But the season hasn't even started yet and already every man and his dog is making stupid predictions.

Go back to last year. Eagles bottom 4, everyone had them down there. There are massive surprises every year and noone has the balls to make the calls. Every bloody year they just go off last years form, totally rediculous!

Think North are about go go Boom, Adelaide will do well with a weak draw, Port will be given enough games against bottom 4 teams to not finish bottom, GWS will run out of legs, Geelong won't show any signs of slowing down (until there depth is tested) Hawthorns forward line will be the best in the competition, had no idea where to put Saints a lot will hang on Hayes i think

All very early still

My predictions:

- Everyone (who hasn't got it already) will get Foxtel because Channel 7's coverage will be just as bad as it currently is.
- Some more crappy rules will get brought in without trial, and everyone will complain. My guess is some sort of netball system where you are no longer allowed to run with the ball.
- Based on how many draws there were at the start of this year, rounds 1 and 2 will consist ONLY of drawn results.
- GWS Vs Gold Coast will end in a nil all draw (both teams will thrash Port though).

bold is true, I feel for anyone who doesnt have it...

1. collingwood (will finish top but remain suspect in sept. wont win the flag)
2. hawthorn (list looks good, well coached... will contend)
3. geelong (age will catch up but should still perform well)
4. west coast (abundance of young talent will ensure another solid year)
5. sydney (underrated side, will challenge strongly)
6. st kilda (will improve on 2011, still have some star players)
7. north (should improve slightly)
8. carlton (should make the eight but lack the KPPs for finals success)
9. melbourne (would've made finals with scully. karma for tanking to get him)
10. fremantle (star players getting older. list worse than most think)
11. essendon (lacking midfield talent)
12. richmond (stong midfield, but major holes in their list elsewhere)
13. brisbane (will show improvement, but still a couple years off)
14. adelaide (will take time to adjust to a new coach. may become watchable)
15. bulldogs (hard to see which players will take them up the ladder)
16. gold coast (lots of talent but list still needs major development)
17. port (horrible list. inept coach)
18. GWS (cannon fodder. unlikely to win a game)

It's odd, most people have Essendon exactly 6th or exactly 11th.
Very odd! I'd be very happy with 6th next year, I am thinking around 7th-11th though.
