Fanplanner squad in the Super Coach competition coached by Licca09. Salary cap left: $11,700.

Brendon Goddard, Bryce Gibbs, Pearce Hanley, Greg Broughton, Brett Goodes, Lewis Stevenson
Sam Docherty, Dylan Van Unen

Gary Ablett jnr, Dane Swan, Trent Cotchin, Matt Priddis, David Mundy, Oliver Wines, Brad Crouch, Tom Mitchell
Jaeger O'Meara, Jack Viney

Shane Mumford, Matthew Leuenberger
Jarrod Witts, Liam McBean

Dean Cox, Tom Rockliff, Steve Johnson, Travis Cloke, Mark LeCras, Brent Staker
Tom Lee, Ben Kennedy

Obviously rookies will depend on NAB cup, don't think Kennedy will play but hopefully I find a suitable alternative.

Mumford seems pretty cheap, yes he gets injured but with Cox as F/R hopefully this helps, risky but hey!

Wanted Kennedy over Priddis but had to take a hit somewhere.

No Buddy, but he's maxed out, risky again, but hey!

Thoughts

Backs - Not bad, I'd keep an eye on Broughton throughout NAB cup to see where he is played.
Mids - Solid, Hrovat could be another min price option
Rucks - Question mark over Mumford's durability, luenberger could be a steal
Fwds - Quite strong, although I'd reconsider Cloke

Waters is top dollar, won't go any further and susceptible to missing games but a risk worth having.
Dont like Grimes, not sure why, maybe injuries but still got through 21 games did he last year.
Pretty sure you could get more value then Ball. Certainly not capable of being a keeper and has a lot of unknowns surrounding him, injury, role, minutes
Hrovat I don't know where everyone is getting him being in best 22. If he does make it it'll be with a vest IMO. Talk of Stringer and Mcrae starting rnd 1 but not Hrovat http://www.afl.com.au/news/2013-01-22/nab-cup-test-for-pups
Ryder depends on role, better value there and Varcoe, well, lets just hope he's fit.

hrovat is playin at the dogs he was not mentioned in that article because everybody know he is playing
looking at the afl prospectus hrovat had an average of 121 supercoach points where mcrae was 117 and also hrovat has been more of a ball magnet through his whole carrer to date.
i am big on hrovat this year just as much as leigh osbourne.

You are a 6 year old peanut if that's the case!

Maybe a little harsh, but as the below poster alludes to there are plenty of options for the dogs in like players which are probably ahead of him. Yr right in that he could punch out good numbers if given a run but he may also hit the green vest.

dogs already have alot of those smaller mid types in wallis, libba, clay smith, picken etc..
hard to see hrovat getting a game infront of these boys as well as new kid stevens
maybe a sub candidate as well

osbourne is a good option if he gets upgraded

Team Version 1# 200k leftover

Backs: Goddard, Gibbs, Shaw, Birchall, Pittard, Thurlow, Vlaustin, Docherty

Mids: Ablett, Pendlebury, Cotchin, Watson, Ball, Wines, Crouch, O'meara, Viney, Mitchell

Rucks: Cox, Lueneberger, Gorringe, Currie

Forwards: Franklin, Rockliff, Martin, Varcoe, Staker, Macaffer, Lee, Kerridge

Bit meh on the forward line,

Thoughts appreciated.

Do not know why people are looking at Brett Goodes as a starter in defense or even on the bench. Guy is on the rookie list and I can't see him getting a game unless major injuries occur. Even if he does get a game I can't see him getting them early.

Macrae will hardly play, he is built like a stick. I think you really need to re-evaluate how you pick rookies.

Like it overall just not sure about such a tall forward line.
I can see why you have Rowe to allow Cox to go into the ruck but is he likely to play at all or are there better options?

when did i say i was going to pick him.

Given you posted his 117 point average I though you were saying he should be considered. It wasn't easy to understand your rabble of a 'sentence'. Could make it a bit easier to read.

Yeah little things like rookies don't take shape till round 1...thanks for the feed back though I need to get Bruest into the side somehow.

Needs a fair bit of work.
Backlines okay. Wouldn't go near Grimes with his interrupted preseason. Midfield is weak. There are better options than Sloane. Heath Scotland isn't playing the first 2 weeks of the season (suspension). Look to get some more proven guns in there. Forwards, again need more proven guns. Hawkins, Jenkins, Jetta, Monfries all prone to being up and down.

yeah not too bad would not have joe daniher as talls take a while.
stanton is too up and down.
david myers is high risk high reward.
all together bit short on defence but everything else is okay.

Lawlerpops
Backs: Your defenders are alright, first three are fine in BJ, Duffman and Broughton, but not sold 100% on Myers. He does have some talent and he is defintley a chance to break out in 2013, but I reckon you should pocket the extra $$$ and downgrade him to Bock (if fit) or Pederson, but it's up to you. Chocie of rookies are ok, if Thurlow gets games he Might be a good scorer, but not sure about his JS.
Mids: Very strong midfield. Gaz, Cotch and Pendles are good chocies, but I'm not sure about Stanton. Your an Essendon supporter so maybe upgrade him to Watson. Fyfe is a good chcoie as well, as he is underpriced and I would chuck Rockliff up forward, as I would rather play Jack Viney over Joe Daniher.
Rucks: Good chocies there, Goldy is underpriced and should improve from 2012, while Leuneberger is a no-brainier.
Forwards: Buddy is a lock, while Pav's average will drop this year, he should still be a good pick. Tex should continue to improve in 2013, but with Tippett leaving, that may hurt his scores. Varcoe is a great option as well, very cheap and good rookie chocies.
Verdict: Team is good, but you could improve it a little still. I would say around a 7.5/10 :thumbsu:

Wouldn't mind getting some feedback, sick of chopping and changing but I feel most of my bolded players are locks.

Defenders
Brendon Goddard, Beau Waters, Bryce Gibbs, Sam Fisher, Nathan Bock, Jasper Pittard, (Sam Docherty, Sam Colquhoun)
Midfielders
Gary Ablett, Dayne Beams, Marc Murphy, Nathan Fyfe, Andrew Embley, Oliver Wines, Brad Crouch, Jaeger O'Meara, (Nathan Hrovat, Jack Viney)
Rucks
Tom Bellchambers , Matthew Leuenberger, (Brodie Grundy, Jack Hannath)
Forwards
Lance Franklin, Dean Cox, Matthew Pavlich, Tom Rockliff, Jake Stringer, Sam Mayes, (Brent Staker, Tom Lee)

Take from it what you will...looks like a solid team with a very premium, rookie bases strategy and you won't have the rookies in stone till round 1... a couple that caught my eye are Nathan Bock and Tom Bellchambers. I've gone cold on Bock but maybe back on him by seasons start...Bellchambers could be a great POD but will he be fighting for game time with Hill? I'd see how NAB cup goes before locking him in. Everything else looks solid.

FIRST DRAFT

BACKS: Goddard / Shaw / Hanley / C. Dixon / Yarran / Staker (Pittard,Terlich)

MIDS: Ablett / Dangerfield / Priddis / Fyfe / Ball / Simpkin / B. Hill / O'Meara (Viney, Crouch)

RUCK: Mumford / Leuenberger (Daw, Lowden)

FWDS: Franklin / Walker / Rockliff / S. Johnson / Byrnes / Daniher (McCaffer / Lee)

Like the look of some of the other sides with exception to the Ablett omission. Not having him as captain comes back to bite you more often than not.
Really don't like Fyfe in your mids. That should be reserved for someone without the shoulder issues he has.
my opinion anyway.
Don't know how Byrnes will fair either at Melbourne, won't get the delivery this year, and I suspect it will all go to Dawes or Clarke.
Good otherwise man.:footy:

Would appreciate any thoughts or feedback.

Thanks for the feedback guys!

Bellchambers is 459k and read in a few articles he is really impressing in pre-season. One in particular was about Hird thinking he could possibloe grab the 1# spot if he applies himself. Worthly at least to watch out for him in the NAB.

Bock on the other hand has the makings of Lake in 2012. He is priced as a mid ranger at 297k but with his injuries is a risk, but if he can get anywhere near his pre-leak break form he could be a steal. I know alot of you guys are saying his progress may be slow but I will lock him in and watch his form closely.

Just a note about Byrnes, I personally see him playing higher up the ground than deep in the forward line. I don't see him as a mid but do think we will use him around HF to deliver to the forwards. At training he is labeled as a excellent decision maker and can hit up players on the lead, take that as you will but I see him getting about 70-80 per game and a player i'll be very keen to watch in the NAB
