Hunter mungs another. Kelly or Hendo are a chance to replace Cheney.

Lowden with a gooser

I don't know sh@t about basketball but it's done greenwood a world of good with regards to his 1 on 1 covering skills!

My friend is the same. Plays any sport with ease, has great fundamental defensive skills and his pressure / coralling has developed from basketball.

There are lots of players in the SANFL side that I expect to get AFL games this year. Gore, Henderson, Beech to name a few. Still have faith in Menzel as well. O'Brien and maybe even Greenwood strong chances off the rookie list.

There are also lots of players I don't expect to get selected at all. Van Berlo, Lowden, Ramsey, Doedee, Hunter and even Dear all well off it. Have my doubts that the first two will ever play AFL for us again.

That holding the ball for Greenwood on the right forward flank was the best thing I'd seen all day. The agility and anticipation to trap his opponent and the intensity to actually lay the tackle despite the fact that 99 times out of 100 those situations never end up resulting in an effective tackle. So good. That stuff doesn't happen at AFL level.

You would think they would have strong motivation to do well as anyone who plays half decent would be in their afl team next week!

Why would they want to play for the AFL side atm? The era of golden tickets is in and Ken Hinkley has flagged he can't drop anyone of note. So its just going to be last in first out. What incentive is that to do well.

Knight. Poor first half, finished strong and was a big reason the lead blew out.
Gore. Great game overall, strong in the contest.
Beech. Good game with 3 goals, needs to continue to work on his kicking.
Keath. Ability is obvious. Long raking kick, good speed.
Greenwood. Can play as a tall inside mid, is clean and makes his disposals count. Tackles, marks well and has speed. Could be a star at AFL level.
Henderson. 31 touches and was a key playmaker despite a couple of iffy touches. Soft moments occasionally in contests but overall good.

Rest were pretty average.
