On an unofficial Port fan Twitter this morning the guy claimed Ah Chee has officially requested a trade to us... Can anyone confirm anything like that? Do you guys want to see him leave or prefer to keep him?
He played a handful of good games later part of 2015 - including 1 3 voter in Brownlow. But was very disappointing in 2016. Lacked confidence and did not find enough footy as a big bodied midfielder. Cant speak for everyone, but I would not be that disappointed if he was traded.

If he was to consistently rack up 25 to 30 possessions he would be an A grader. If.

I'd give Arch another year.
When he puts it together he's a quality player & that handball ability, he wants out & we can't keep backing fringers in that have disappointed is my take though.

Trade periods becoming more and more complicated with bold and surprising moves. I fear the trade period will swallow up our babe in the woods Chris Davies. He is surely out of his depth when dealing with seasoned performers from other clubs. Also the compo picks hurt clubs in our situation. KT chose Davies. Not sure it was the best move, but still I guess we can only hope he surprises us in the end.

If our midfield wasn't so weak I'd be open to trading him.

Their salary cap and the fact they play in front of 10 fans will catch up to them eventually.

The dam will break if they win their first premiership, it will also break if they slide in the next couple of years.

The salary cap should eventually get them, but they could rack up at least a couple of flags (or possibly 3 or 4 ), by the time that happens.

They will never have a traditional supporter base, but you would expect plenty of young kids will jump on board when they start winning flags.
Turning those kids into paid up members, and keeping them when they get older, will be the test when times get tougher.

Vlad the impaler created the monster, it's up to McLachlan to keep it under control, but I doubt he has big enough kahunas.

Some reports had been made that James Aish was expected to leave Collingwood, despite him playing most games in only his first year there and impressing. Although some of these were the usual fan-inspired "come-home" rumours there were a few that the Collingwood list manager felt he should answer.

Collingwood has denied reports it raised midfielder James Aish in trade talks on Wednesday.
The Age reports list manager Derek Hine quashed the suggestion the club could trade both Aish and young midfielder Jordan De Goey.
"Under no circumstances is James Aish getting traded. Nor for that matter is Jordan De Goey," Hine said.

Agree in part, but Kern's last in and first out selection policy with Arch wouldn't have done a lot for his confidence.
His handball is an absolute weapon, and I suspect a more patient coach will probably get a lot more out of him.

Pick 9 & Lobbe <> Sydney's Picks 14 & 17?
Then on trade Pick 17 & Ah Chee <> GC Picks 22 & 30

Why would Sydney want Lobbe? They have a good number of rucks and with their midfield they could probably get by with a minimum ruck presence anyway. And if they had to cut Mitchell for salary cap reasons what would be the point in taking up more of the same in Lobbe for less output.

I think he could be a guy that puts it together elsewhere and that would frustrate me but we can't just sit on our hands anymore there is just as much chance he becomes another clogger.

How about Broadbent instead of Lobbe?

I know we're talking about Hawthorn as the Sephiroth of trading but Freo are the biggest winners so far.

Downgrade pick #3 to #7 and receive Cam McCarthy, pick #34 (now #35) and pick #72 (now #73), then morph Mayne into Brad Hill.

All in all, they've brought in 2 targeted players and all it has cost them is 1 player on the outer and 4 spots in at the pointy end of the draft. If Freo are after English as rumoured, they've effectively given up nothing. NOTHING.

Damn it!

I already had the Gooey sign made!

Seriously though, if that guy was for trade, I'd sell the farm to get him here. He is an AA contested beast in the making.
