Berry doesn't impress me

Wheres the bonts of the draft

We need elite ball use and a big body imo

Setterfield is probably closest to Bont that I can think of off the top of my head and he is GWS academy

Clarke at pick 23 is your big body and will play straight off the bat. Not so sure of elite ball use but can't have your cake .....

Just rocked up to work and been bombarded by a few of my Hawthorn-loving colleagues.

Walk in...

Me: 'Hey hows it going'
Them: 'HE'S LEAVING FOR THE GOOD OF THE CLUB'

Should ask why he isnt staying on minimum wage...

I value the head on my shoulders thanks :p

Pft. If they can not handle what they dish out...

Better yet you could ask how come he moved out...

I would raise cap issues with newbies and potential disharmony from that.

I'd like to see types that offer forward half creativity and soreboard impact get drafted as a priority, that can compliment midfield rotations with outside run and carry. Few of the names fit the bill. I haven't been reviewing the inside mids thoroughly.

Plenty of Videos on this particular channel, although its not the same as being there live you can see what I mean in this particular one.

Cant hit a target to save his life. He'll fit right in!

Simpkin, Ainsworthy (not gonna get) and Bolton would fit that criteria.

Any news on Nankervis? Would love to keep him especially with the shoulder reco to Naismith.

Would really only let him go if we got the Vickery compo pick to load up on this draft.

Would mean Tippett/Sinclair at the start of next year though.

I really dont wanna lose Nankervis for a nothing pick which is exactly what we are going to get if he leaves.

I'm pretty keen to hear about Nankers as well. I suspect that there's going to be movement tomorrow if Richmond still want him, otherwise they'll have to gamble in the draft and try to pick him up then.
Would he risk the draft though? Seems like a player that would re-sign or get traded.

Where he is at, several clubs (even outside vic) would take him. Brisbane/Freo particularly come to mind before a vic club in the draft order. (I assume Essendon would not be interested with luey/Bellchambers)

I'm okay with 14 and a second round pick upgrade for Mitchell, its about what he's worth. Rather than trading up I'd rather we take as many picks in the 14 - 35 range and try to load up on talent. By all reports its a really even draft, and I think potential is always liable to be unfulfilled, and there are often some utter guns later in the draft (Parker and hanners for example) so we are just as likely to get good results with 2 or 3 mid range picks compared to a upper range one.

I'm no draft watcher, but from what I can gather the players I'd love to see us pick up that could go in our range are Shai Bolton, Jordan Galluci, Griffin Logue and Sam Powell-Pepper.
Except for Logue they all offer the sort of pace that we are kinda of lacking, and makes them fit into a forward line as pressure players at a worst case scenario, and have plenty of exciting upside. Powell Pepper is apparently super hard at it and aggressive, and backs him self to do it all(to a fault). His skills aren't quite there, so he sounds a typical sydney player and could develop really well. Galluci has one of the most impressive bursts of speed in the draft and a really impressive leap, and he's a very tidy kick he was the vic metro co-captain so seems a really decent bet. Bolton is a very light framed mercurial small forward, so who knows if that will come off, but if it does we have one of the most exciting small forwards going around, and I'd love that. Logue is a little more speculative, but from all reports he has decent skills but a hell of a tank for a big guy. A few reporters were pretty impressed with his professionalism and competitiveness at the combine and they are both traits we love. A really high endurance base on a motivated and dedicated big guy can turn into a hell of a player, he might even end up a midfielder.

Lets just use the Mitchell picks to get a good quality field umpire or two. Just like the Scum and SoBraves have done.
You reckon dogs would take buddy and pick 14 for Jeffrey? Hes got his flag now. Maybe hes looking for a new challenge

Yeah Ainsworth the one I pull the trigger on in a pick 6 hypothetical for sure.

Small problem...

He will be gone by pick 4! So unless you are getting pick 2, 3 or 4...we aint getting him at 6. Carlton would draft him, so would Brisbane or GWS.

This, could easily be the best player in the draft.

We have 36 now?
AFL reporting we'll have 38 after this deal.:(
"
The Swans will hold picks 14, 17, 38 and 56 in the upcoming draft once the Mitchell swap goes through."
