Haha, yeah me too a bit, hence why I reckon he was in complete drivel mode in attempts to not give anything up. The other thing is he talks about having his deepest list ever, but then if he only used 4 picks our final pick would be in the 60's which is hardly deeper than we've gone before.

You do realise he's talking about how many lads he rates as draftable when he's talking his deepect list. i.e. he thinks there will be quality still available late whereas in other years not so much. Apart from a couple of bolters where recruiters may rate a player way higher than other clubs Hamish would have a pretty good handle on what range all players will be picked.

There's 18 or 19 lads invited from what I can gather...that doesn't go into 10? Their just covering all bases IMO.

Out of the players who are likely to be available I have Brodie, Berry and Venables ahead of Gallucci but I think think Gallucci is the best fit needs wise.

Honestly the amount of names we are linked too suggests that the media have nfi what is going on...

I think it's a sign how up in the air the picks prior to ours are. In the past we've only needed to properly check a few guys, this draft we need to have 7 or 8 guys checked out because we're just not sure who will be there.

Literally no-one knows what the Eagles will do, it seems. Reckon it will be Gallucci or Berry (or Brodie ) myself, but you never know.

I would think the clubs with the top ten picks would probably be asked to give 3 or 4 names who they have in the mix for their first pick without specifically naming their No.1 choice......that's why I think this Cumming to Adelaide is a bit premature as that would indicate sides inside the top ten also have some interest...unless of course there going to bring the whole of the 1st round up on stage this year which I just can't see.

Re: English, so correct me if I'm wrong but from what I’ve watched and read of him, he’s 204cms, light frame that might not put on much muscle, an ordinary ruckman, ordinary contested mark but is athletic and a decent runner.

He sounds like a skillful, taller version of Justin Westhoff. That's a big no thanks from me. 200cm+ players that can't ruck or play KPP are liabilities.

Luckily for him, he'll probably be given 8+ years on an AFL list to prove he can't play at AFL level before he's pushed out of the system.

*Not saying he's a dud or anything given I haven't seen him play but talls are given all the time in the world to prove they're not up to it (see McKernan for example who is still likely to get another rookie deal with Essendon).
