Some shit gets spun here. Talk facts : bridge could be in for an ordinary year. Big names leaving in Chopper, Blair and Loader to name some.
Lalor not too sure on all recruits although Shep could be handy but im tipping him to beat up on the bottom few sides. Will Hughes work well with him?
Thomo signed a few but only 2 senior footballers. Peterson who knows until he actually crosses the ehite line if he committed. Good get if it comes off. This big forward from SFL is an unknown. Some say he a goal kucker but average in the ruck.

Judd Darby won't be following Terra. He didn't go to Resa because of Terra mate. But I believe he has work commitments and if he plays it will be back at home, which is Bonnie Doon I think.

I have heard Flavel ,Sullivan, and maybe Rooney have crossed to Glenroy O,meara is listed as assistant coach at resa but more worrying is the rumours of very low number at training pre Christmas

Loader staying + big recruits, namely Fennell and Eames

I was looking at the clearance and transfer page on the NFL site and saw nearly all the recruits from west Preston to Reservoir have be denied or are pending and there was only one approved, It looks like the roosters are playing hard ball with the mustangs I hope the mustangs get them approved so they can be competitive this season.

They are kids not senior players

Carl Petersen's transfer denied and no surprise, wonder if Thomastown will pay what he owes Mooroolbark as they paid what he owed Scoresby last year.

I would think thomo should let him go as if the player has a habit of doing this sort of thing then the question that has to be asked is he the type of person you want to have around a young group of players in your club no matter how good a player he is

Hey lads, just interested RE: Reservoir next season. After their promotion to div 2, have they been able to keep the older boys in Judd Darby, Cam Rooney etc? Who of the premiership side have followed Terranova over too Glenroy?

I heard a bit of a story about The skipper running around in norths intra club during the week. Not sure how reliable it is though.

Honestly speaking, watched Carl peterson train on Thursday night. He looked really sharp, and showed some of his freakish skills. Was the last guy off the track. He had his mrs and young family there also.
Im pretty sure Carl has found his home . Really enjoying his footy and supporting his son who plays in the Thomo juniors. Watch out divi 2 ,i think we'll see the real Carl Peterson. Hes capable of tearing sides apart. Good luck to him . Good to see.

Having a look at this forum from up in sunny QLD. Read an article on Lalor that they have picked up Tim Peck from Keilor.

The kid can play . Only small but gets around the park and gathers plenty of the footy.

Not sure if he quite fitted into Keilor structures last year after coming of major surgery in the summer.

Knowing this competition from a lot of years ago (old lakies boy) he will be huge for Lakor and will be a real vote catcher with the umpires.

where are reservoir training ?A mate of mine drove past resa'a ground mon and weds night and it looked like no one or very few were on the track are they training at another venue ? I hope everything is going ok for them what with the rumours floating around pre Christmas.

Things are not looking good at reservoir. Training is on tues and Thursday but numbers very low.
Rumour has it that Mannix and O'Sullivan have left.

Players needed as Reservoir faces race against time
Tuesday, February 23, 2016

RESERVOIR Football Club senior coach Daniel McFerran has made a plea for local players to join his club ahead of the 2016 season.

The Mustangs have suffered a mass player exodus since winning the Division 3 premiership last September, leaving them desperately short of senior and reserves players.

After meeting with the league on Monday, the club has been given a March 18 deadline to find additional players in order to field a team this year.

McFerran has now urged any local players looking for a fresh start to consider joining Reservoir, as his club faces a race against time to compete this season.

“We’re looking for players of any experience to come on board and get behind the club,” McFerran said.

“It would be a great shame if we couldn’t field a team a year after winning our first senior flag in 31 years.

“We’re just urging anyone who might be looking for a new club, plus those who have been unable to attend training regularly this pre-season, to jump on board and get stuck in for the last two months of pre-season.”

McFerrran said there had been a core group of 15-20 players who had attended most training sessions and had committed to the club.

However, he said it was a necessity for more numbers to now jump on board in order for the club to field both a senior and reserves side this year.

He urged a new wave of players to help take the club forward.

“For a number of varied reasons we have lost some players from our premiership team, however that gives opportunity for a new group of players to take the club forward,” he said.

“This situation can provide a great chance for young players to play Division 2 football and kick-start their senior careers.”

Reservoir president Peter Vining said that while his club currently faced desperate times, it would do everything in its power to improve its position ahead of the 2016 season.

NFL CEO Peter McDougall said the Northern Football League will work closely with Reservoir to give the club every possible chance to take its place on the field this year.

*Reservoir trains every Tuesday and Thursday at 6pm at Crispe Park, Reservoir. Prospective players can contact Daniel McFerran on 0425 796 357.

Very strange that a club wins a premiership and then struggles for players. Same in the EDFL with the div3 club that got promoted in Hadfield seems to be struggling from what I read.

As is the case with local footy, there's lots of very soft players who'd prefer to be a big fish in a small pond than testing themselves against a better standard.

I had heard that this was happening at resa the poor buggers I thought this might happen as I think players not wanting to play up a divison and rumours of not too much $ left to buy a competitive team might have helped terranova in his decision to go to Glenroy as he might have had an inkling of this out come .

Docherty heading to North last week almost crushes the spirit in the joint. Hopefully they can resurect something still.

Hypothetically if they do fold what happens to div2? 7 team comp with byes or does a team like Epping come up?
