Yes, because the UCI, cycling's governing body turned a blind eye to doping for years. Cycling wasn't cleaned up until USADA and WADA got onto them...all but the bottom 5% of the field if not everyone would have been doping. Wouldn't make any sense to try and award the jerseys to the next best finisher.
So now we know the real reason why Jobe didn't want to hand back his Brownlow medal; he wanted to avoid the embarrassment of revealing that he'd lost it.
They'll probably find it amongst Essendon's supplements paperwork.

Supply and demand. If you don't want to work bad shifts, get re-educated and get a different job because there's someone out there who will do the job without the penalty rates.
if you think I reckon the AFL is sparkling clean except for Jobe you're very much mistaken.Yes, because the UCI, cycling's governing body turned a blind eye to doping for years. Cycling wasn't cleaned up until USADA and WADA got onto them...
Sound familiar?
The sporting codes can't be trusted to police drugs in sport as their primary focus is making cash and protecting the brand.
Not quite true. Cycling got a huge boot up the backside with the Festina affair, which happened the year before Armstrong won the first of his TDFs. That was long before WADA & USADA got involved.Yes, because the UCI, cycling's governing body turned a blind eye to doping for years. Cycling wasn't cleaned up until USADA and WADA got onto them...

What the hell are you talking about? Get RE-educated, not educated. If you don't want to work Sunday's, then learn new skills and get a 9-5 job with those skills.Yeh, cause you need to be educated to breed. All those workers then compete with the family people for the business hours shifts. And then the family people expect preference because they've got mouths to feed. Breeders are such an entitled bunch. You want kids, pay for them, want to earn more cash as an uneducated person, do shifts with penalty rates, it's not hard.
What you missed with your idiotic response, was that Sanders wanted to spread the penalty rates through to the workers who refuse to do the shifts.

In terms of doping, cycling is no better and no worse than a whole lot of other sports - soccer, tennis & basketball all spring quickly to mind. Cycling has the reputation, because it's had the publicity associated with some major busts. The other sports have governing bodies which are even better at turning a blind eye and covering things up.
This just goes to reinforce your last point!
Therapeutic Use ExemptionThe main issue they have currently is the Therapeutic Goods Exemptions, where doctors clear riders for certain drugs based on their medical condition. It is amazing how many top cyclists suffer from asthma....

So the family orientated can get their share of the premium on the shifts they don't want to do? I'm obviously missing a critical piece of context here.
Sydney didn't have to sweat too long about Heeney's future

BTW I just want to say how much it $hits me that the Essendon doping scandal is referred to by the AFL and the media (never bite the hand that feeds ya) as the "supplements scandal".
FFS, not a doping scandal, not a drugs scandal, not a PED scandal. Like these guys were taking vitamins and there was something untoward in them...
They are cheats and they should have been banned for life.

That assumes the premium is fairly and duly attached to the shift in the first place
Good, they can start paying back all the money the SANFL gave them then.Looks like Port might be getting Cathay Pacific as a sponsor
