Freddie butcher's it most of the time though I wouldn't be too cut up.
Huge upside though. Imagine if we harness his powers. Turn him away from the dark side.

I’m liking Noah Answorth, could be a ripper

Yep definitely.

A half back who can defend but also take the game on with elite pace and disposal.

Suprised he didn't go in the draft.

If not for the poor bastards injury he would have been a top 30 pick from all report's.

Fingers crossed.

He & Krueger + Michael Close & add CJ as a Cat B, please!

I’m really trying to make sense of this but can’t. Maybe some sort of contractual obligation?

Disappointing because there’s still some decent rookie picks available.
Yes, it’s contract obligation.

So with Willsmore coming back on whether we like it or not - and taking CJ as a Category B - how many live picks do we have on top of that based on our list space? Would it be 2 more players on top of those two - or can we take 3?

Think we have 1 live pick

Would there have been an issue keeping Willsmore on the main list or resigning him for 1 year back onto the main list considering his salary will be the same anyway ?

I hope the Hawks roll the dice in the rookie draft and go for a speculative pick who might have a high upside rather than a player with exposed form to act as insurance.

Unless I am missing something we have 3 picks in the rookie draft. We have 38 on the main list, 3 cat A rookies and 1 cat B rookie.
If CJ is taken as Cat B we have 3 rookie spots available.

Could it be more than that though?

We have 38 primary listed players (including Vickery who is retired but after lodgement deadlines).
We have 3 Category A Rookies (Glass, Hanrahan and Cousins)
We have 1 Category B Rookie (Nash).

Based on my reading, wouldn't that mean we can squeeze in 3 more rookies as well as 2 other Category B rookies. If we commit to Willsmore and get CJ as a Category B rookie - then we have the possibility for 2 more players to be rookied?

Happy to be wrong on any of this - I am not a list number guru like some on the board hence my question before.

On the main list, his salary counts towards the cap. On the rookie list it doesn't, except, I think, for match payments.

Willsmore gets paid regardless, so it's no difference to him, but for the club's salary cap, it matters.
