M Crouch and Laird are the two I'm tipping to take their game to the elite level. Knight to be a big improver and force one of Mackay/Seedsman/Douglas/Atkins out of the side, though tipping Seeds to improve and command a spot and Atkins to continue developing albeit slower than some are hoping.

The way I look at it, if Sloane is our most valuable player then we won't finish where we want. We need someone else to step up and it has to be a midfielder. If we were to play Smith in the midfield I would say him because if hit his straps, he's exactly what we need in the midfield.

If we don't play Smith in the middle then it's Brad, if Brad finishes top 3 in our best and fairest and the usual suspects like Sloane and co play up to their level then we will have a very good to great year.

Yep, we badly need Brad to come on. This year there are no excuses for him, let's just hope he gets through preseason and he becomes one of the premier midfielders in the comp.

I'm tipping Brad to be our MVP. He's going to come good this year and be the player we had all hoped he'd be. Inside grunt with outside flair and knows where the goals are. His elevated play will give Sloane a little more space and provide cover for some kids coming through.

I was just thinking back on our rookie draft and I remembered a lad from our top up we never took.
Matt Spenceley who went back to Waikerie after a few games. I thought the Crows were hiding him. Maybe he was needed for work up there. He showed a lot in my opinion.

Wasn't sure where to post this but it is related to Brouch. Living up here in Brisbane usually means that the AFL gets a very very small article on one page in any of the papers. So imagine my surprise while I was reading the local Sunday Mail and there is this full page article about Brouch and the Crows. It was unbelievable. It was the sort of exposure that the Lions could only dream of yet here was a full page on the Crows. Love it.

I also noticed that the same article appeared on the AFL web site.
