Actually l think he could help, as we really only got Adams as a pure inside mid, as degoey is both and Greenwood l believe is only got 12months left. If he is good, that would free up Pendlebury steel and treloar to go more our side where there skill and pace( treloar) would be more of a benefit to us.

If we are going down the midfield path we may as well pick one at 6.

I think they pushed it out about 15 years ago because of VCE exams. Not sure how long ago but it was definitely because of VCE exams they are finished by Nov 24.

Not sure it applies, none of us would put up with a partner that lets you down as often as a football club does

Depends how you look at it.
If a person thinks a sports team delivers all the time, well they're wrong.
Sport is a cruel mistress.

Relationships can't deliver all the time, but if one only pots their partner will not end well.
Live and support, it all becomes good and who knows on ocassional you might get a gush of triumph here and there.

Fair enough. The way l see the game today is no one can be a pure mid, have to be versatile as well play in different parts of the ground as needed.
That’s why kids like Coffield, Fogarty and balta appeal to me more than others.

That and I doubt the AFLW is a full time job yet. They'd be able to go to school, work and play footy at the same time.

Starting to lean towards Coffield also. I don't think we need to necessarily go for a KPP if there isn't one there who is worthy of pick 6.

I think maybe we should aim to recruit someone who will offer some good midfield class, particularly on the outside. Someone who will be 2, 3, 4 years into their career and starting to play some consistent footy once Wells is gone, and especially when Pendlebury eventually retires.

That’s why kids like Coffield, Fogarty and balta appeal to me more than others.

That is correct. That’s why I think Degoey was the right choice for us when we took him because he is a forward weapon for us too.

This year there seems to be more ‘pure’ midfielders in LDU, Dow, Cerra, Brayshaw if you needed a kid to come in and slot in straight away those would be your go to but might be harder to slot them into a side that has a packed midfield as they aren’t as damaging forward or back.
