Just talking about Ca..Carl..Carlt....makes my skin crawl.Just the thought of a Richards being in a Carlton jumper makes my skin crawl
The last list lodgment prior to the ND was Nov 9. There is another one on Monday prior to the PSD and the final one on Wednesday. However, I don’t think that clubs can delist in those final two given that unless they allow guys to nominate for the draf 5 hours before hand there are no avenues for delisted players to get to another clubs (and even if they could it’s not long enough for other clubs to do their due diligence to consider recruiting them). When is the final list lodgement?

Because we can’t use it, it is excluded and all picks behind it are bumped up by one. They don’t skip numbers when they release the final order. Then why does it have Freo’s name against it on that list ? I’m confused..

The original question was could we take 5 selections and use pick 70. If we had 5 senior list positions available then the answer would be yes we could use pick 70 on selection 5. However, because we only have 4 senior list positions vacant on our list, we will have all list positions filled before we get to pick 70 so we can’t use it regardless of what happens on draft night. The final draft order that the AFL has released only includes the maximum number of selections each team can use, and excludes any subsequent picks for each team. Essentially we have it, but we can’t use it so why bother listing it?
Also don’t get too caught up on the numbers themselves (we mostly refer to that pick as pick 70 because that is where it started). The draft numbers will keep changing until they are used because of on draft night the number itself will change as father/son and academy bids, along with teams passing mess with the order, and as you have seen prior too they are effected by each club’s list vacancies.
If we are truly going to reach, rather it be Bonar.
Nah his pop and great uncle would say, son if you're making money that the first thing. He will be out the doors in 2 years at Carlton. His grandad and great uncle would spin in their graves if he spent his whole career at Carlton.

*That is a terrifying midfield even without a Cerra, if we could just book end it

Reaching for a Bonar does make a lot of sense. If we are truly going to reach, rather it be Bonar.
Fit the puzzleReaching for a Bonar does make a lot of sense.
But would you be reaching and grabbing butts late in the piece?
Well we already have a tall Cox, a non stop moving Sidebottom, a sack of gold....Fit the puzzle
i think they"ll take FogartyCan anyone honestly see North Melbourne passing over Cerra or Brayshaw at 4?
They've chased Kelly and Martin and have made their intent clear they need high end quality mids when you look at who they've been getting rid of.
I'd be absolutely amazed if they didn't take one of the top mids on offer.
I'd be even more disappointed if one of those mids was available at 6 and we passed them over too.
I know but it's more a durability choiceTsk tsk tsk
Wells in the reserves?
That's ban worthy![]()

I understand we only have the 4 available selections, but still why is the pick taken away from us. We may not be able to use it for a player but we may need the points for father son.Because we can’t use it, it is excluded and all picks behind it are bumped up by one. The rules were changed a few years ago. Clubs can only use selections for points that are required to fill a vacancy on the list. We can’t use 70 to fill a vacancy on the list (because there isn’t one) therefore we can’t use it for points for Tyler Brown.I understand we only have the 4 available selections, but still why is the pick taken away from us.
