If we dropped it, it would make the QF look like a one off stunt. It's not, it's a Crows thing, especially for this finals series. I'd say keep it.
I'm leaning that way too, keep it.

Need to top it!
Maybe ramp it up with some military precision?

West Coast have Petrie 197cm, Kennedy 197cm, LeCras 184cm and Darling 191cm. If they get good delivery they will do some damage. What are Ports match-ups? They look very small down back, Clurey 193cm, Hartlett 185cm and a couple of games in Howard 199cm.
Head to head WC are paying $2.65 and Port $1.50 I can't see Port being that much of a clear favourite
Go Eagles!

It will be interesting if the team employs that stance during the national anthem again.

Personally I loved it, it worked. It was the classical 1% that made a difference.
I didn't mind it, but I doubt it made even 0.1% difference to the result.

20 years ago, it was the norm. St Kilda linked arms in the 97 GF, and that was unusual then. G Cornes was shitting himself over it on radio over the "psychological impact".

Some impact.

I think I'd be a little happier if there was a tad less premature ejaculate flying around the place.

Not sure it casts us in a flattering light.

We aren't exactly keeping the lid on if we're already sneering.

Oh rubbish. Sneering is a fundamental tenet of being a football fan. I sneer at someone during every game, whether we're good, bad or otherwise. I can't function without that schadenfreude. I need it. It's like my cocaine.

I don't blame them to be honest. Won the right to have a home final. Of course, they have to play at the G at some stage, but fact is we have a massive home ground advantage and the AFL took away theirs.

As the team that got a home preliminary final against an interstate team in 2004, can they remind me of their complaints about the injustice then?

Port haven't even sold the game out, the days of 50k crowds for them, except for showdowns, are over.

I just compared our 2017 home crowds against Ports for the home and away season, we had an extra 93,657 fans over our 11 home games.

Ports average home crowd this year is down to 38,135 a constant decline from 2014s 44,364.

That was a mistake that had no material impact on the game whatsoever

It was also a mistake made by a billion dollar sport that pretends to be professional

No I know, but it just adds to the fact that Richmond were able to have more fans at the game, and in fact, benefited from that. Had it been at Kardinia Park, Geelong would more than likely have put on a different performance.

That's geelongs fault though.

How about one of our crappy journalists call out the dopey Labor minister who declared tonights game a Major Event, meaning no ticket scalping.

Meanwhile 5k tickets left and you can just rock up and get them at the gate and thats with them being half price from Telstra!!

****ing Major Event my arse.

This is a massive, Chris Scott-level excuse.

One of Geelong's three home grounds is the MCG. They played 2 home games there this year, 5 in total. Geelong fans had just as much access to the game as Richmond fans, they just don't have as many fans. Big deal.

Geelong played like garbage and the ground had very little to do with it. Having a big whinge about their 'home ground advantage' is just that: having a big whinge. How about Geelong supporters complain about the insipid effort by their players? Nah, can't do that, because not playing at Simonds is a bigger issue.

The fact is they finished 2nd, they played at their home ground, and it's just bad luck they played a team who also has the MCG as their home ground. If they wanted to have a stronger advantage, maybe they should have finished higher so they played GWS instead.

Still advertising tickets for tonight

I just had a look at ticketek prices for tonights game
Bay 323-326 the seats in front as you walk in from the main southern plaza entrance from $28
bay 143 & 144 down by the fence in Eddies pocket from $20

Exactly this. If they wanted any ground to stand on at all they should request to the AFL to not have the MCG as one of their home grounds.

But Geelong won't do that because they want the money from playing the big clubs at the MCG.

They can't get the best of both worlds.
