From memory what turned the series was Glenn McGrath getting injured playing touch rugby in training before the Edgbaston Test, and then Ponting winning the toss and putting England in despite not having his premier fast bowler. England put on 100+ for the first wicket at around 5 an over, and the rest, as they say is history...
