We have CCJ to cover if Nank goes down. Would you train RCD, given his height?

A good pre-season can make a young tall ready sometimes. CCJ definitely wasn't ready last season, by some considerable margin. he has great leadership potential too we are told. Not sure I would be doing to CCJ what Bulldogs did to Tim English last season. Soldo seems to have found the VFL plateau for mine. Was found out in the VFL final that's for sure.

Perhaps it's a luxury, but like U2 I would like to see us get a mature age Ruck as insurance. Spread Nanks load through the season perhaps, to ensure he beasts it come finals time.

Yeah we really need to work that depth over next year and play horses for courses with player rotations...
All this with an eye on the top four spot...

Would be happy with stack but would prefer taking a punt on marlion pickett

I guess Pickett is someone that could slot in right away if need be. Him and Weller would be good cover with Ross being probably the other. Don’t mind it.

My read on it is this.

We have added four physical, hard at it lads to help us build a better culture of inside ball.

Given their size they will be belting the breeze out of each out from day one, and most probably belting many of our other midfielders around too.

We need to be better at the contest, and recruiting four bull ants is the first step towards doing that.

If 2/4 become first team mids in time, then it’s a brilliant draft.

Who they picked: Riley Collier-Dawkins (20), Jack Ross (43), Fraser Turner (58), Luke English (62)

Verdict: This was a draft all about midfielders for Richmond. All of the pre-draft hype had the Tigers linked to the best big-bodied onballer. While the Blues might have snuck in and stolen Liam Stocker from their grasp at pick No.19, the Tigers pounced on the next best prospect in Collier-Dawkins. They added to their midfield depth with Ross, who demonstrated throughout the year his ability to find the footy at TAC Cup level with Oakleigh. Turner and English also add a bit on the outside, with the latter's versatility and endurance his biggest assets. They'll be happy with the injection of depth. – Riley Beveridge

Riley Beveridge Spoon supporter already spinning the Carlton line. Love to see that pick swap fail spectacularly.

my usual question then

who are we trading out?

people love to cry, but the days of getting picks for shit are gone

Hit the nail on the head mate

It’s easy to say we should of traded x to get y but with the picks we held we would of needed to offload future picks witch sounds good at the time but just puts you at a disadvantage for next years draft or traded players during the trade period but to get something decent you must also give up something decent ie a best 22 player and because of our window being open Why would we even think about doing that

Personally I’m really happy about how the club has gone about this period and really addressed the needs of our list going forward especially when you look at last years draft as well where we picked up some great tall prospects and complementing that with some inside players this year

I wanted Ely but i thought we were no chance to get Riley so im happy with our haul .Im glad Carlton f..ked up taking stooker and not riley or ely lmao

“Tigers pounced on the next best prospect in Collier-Dawkins”.

Uhhhh Collier-Dawkins is a better prospect than Stocker...

They wanted us to trade picks from next year and give the other side a pick upgrade
