Crows don't need Robertson.

Lions our only danger if none of the 4 picks are swapped.

Port maybe go mid (after 2 talls) unless they go kpd in worrell? Brisbane said they wanted speed and run from HB so maybe Rivers? Adel dont really need inside mids but they need run and carry mids so depends how they rate dev. I just hope we dont pass on him again. I also like Gould but he is a similar type to de koning (i think better) so im not sure if we take both (gould might go to adel anyway).

How many remain in 5 years time? I’m tipping 1.
Starting at the Suns is good though, those young kids will be on juicy contracts probably 500k to start off with lol, its not like they have any super stars to pay massive portions of salary cap. Financially its great to start there, get game time, then go to another club waving the cheque book...

I wouldn't be surprised if we go for Sharp with 26.

If Taheny is there at 36, they will pounce on him.

Then they will probably go Reid Kuller in rookie draft, with Brownless, and maybe best available slider.

Why do you think we give up on dev?

I reckon having taken Stephens as an inside mid Wells will look now to other areas of need. Outside speed. I’d still take Robertson if available (reckon Bris will snap him up though) but I’d have a good look at Sharp now.

Gould, Taheny or D.Williams with 36.

I like him but i feel intercept is a role we have covered. What we need is a big kpd to replace HT and im not sure he has the bulk or speed for that. If we are going to bulk him up and turn him into a ruck i get it as he hasgreat skills and all the rucks other than jackson were crap and we need a ruck but if we are going to play him as an intercept defender i feel we have missed a trick given the quality left in the pool.

I will be very interested to see where we play him in the vfl.
KP Player's are long term.
We've got enough players to help groom him into a KPD while they're still around without having to rush him. he def wouldn't have been there at our next pick.
Funny how close the fox sports mock draft was

Absolutely. I’d like to think I make own evaluations - as you know I had McAsey high before he “went high” and have had reservations on a few like Worrell that were touted to go before now.

I don’t doubt Stephens intent and he brings some very positive attributes. I’ve only seen a couple of his games so my sample size is small. But he wasn’t clean in either - he didn’t appear “one touch” and his disposal wasn’t great. Not terrible but lacked class I thought. Anyway, Wells and coming have seen a lot more of him so I’ll bow to their judgment for now.

De Koning just looks a long time away from having any impact. The KPF’s he was up against weren’t great so I reckon could have exaggerated his ability. Hope I’m wrong again. He marks quite well, reads the play quite well too. How quick is he? If he’s to play KPD I wonder whether he needs a yard?

I could be wrong but I think DK tested very well for speed for his size. Athletically he is a great specimen just needs a few years to develop. Reckon he could be a very very good player. At 201cm he's going to get a long time to prove he can't make it.

As to your assessment of Cooper Stephens it's like you are reading my mind. He seems such a limited footballer and his highlights (which are far from the best way to judge and I know he has had less games to make some) are very ordinary. Much like you I have one a small sample size to go off and hope to be proven so pathetically wrong that its not funny. Just wouldn't have taken him at all if it was up to me.

Also how did he test for speed at the combine does anyone know?

Harris Andrews 2.0 hahahaha

At all at that pick I must clarify. Also I haven't seen enough but he is supposed to have elite hands inside which can often take a lot of viewing to appreciate.

Wells did say he would look for Taylor and Hawkins replacements if possible.

De Koning - Taylor
Jones or Riccardi or ??? - Hawkins

I still think he will pick a running player (Sharp or Bianco) with 1 pick and a young key forward with another.

Shattered Port had the balls to take Mitch G so early. He could be anything but certainly comes with risk as he doesn't have anywhere near enough production on the board to be too confident.

Question is, can they actually keep them

I might be forgetting some player so forgive me but it’s not like the original group of players was straight out the door at first chance, these guys will have 4-5 years to play together & if they are looking good they’ll mostly stay together if the club is still a basket case behind the scenes most will leave.

Only could see top 10 results and clearly Stephens rates very high for the endurance testing. Didn’t rank top 10 for 20m but not sure whether he was slow or not?

Can’t see any results for DK. Did he test? He certainly has the height to play KP - again I’ll keep an open mind and see where the next few years take him.

Who do you like for our remaining picks?
