Injured players are ideal as they are likely to start their careers in 2021 under a good coach.

Jonts just listened to the pod, and macca won’t say it but De Koning is a spud. He looked better at champs because he had a more level talent set around him letting him not be exposed (yet still had questionable disposal when he got it), and then he got exposed at junior level because without a wealth of support he’s just not very good.
He's been injured for over two of the last three years. Thought he was a rookie chance at the start of the year. Wants to study medicine. I didn't get the vibe he wants a football career especially outside of melbourne.

Tiser reporting that Crows have spoken to Dylan Stephens but not the Power so we do not expect him to be there at 12.

His contact with Port Adelaide, however, the other club who could fulfil his want to stay in South Australia, has been limited to this point.
“They’ve held back a little bit in comparison to the Crows,” Stephens admitted.
“I spoke to Port for the first time at the combine.
“Their approach to it all is just a bit different. I hope – and I think – the interest is still there.”
It’s been a similar story for another of the state’s top draft hopes, Will Gould, who is yet to speak to the Power.
“They just said we keep it until the end of the year. I think they got all the Melbourne boys interviewed at the combine and they are just waiting to do us later on while we are still here,” Gould said.
But that’s about to change with both players set to spend a day at Alberton together this week.
Port would welcome Stephens - who also labelled the idea of moving away from SA as “exciting” - with open arms at pick No. 12 but it’s unlikely he gets there.

Gould is going to slide big time IMO ... Red flags waving all over the place! Besides his weight/fitness issue, IMO his bigger body has seen him able to perform well against boys ... against men, he will be found seriously wanting IMO

Its concerning for sure but he has leadership and can fit in with the team right away. I would be happy to take him at 18.

“I was lucky enough to be in the boarding house with him at PAC, he was the year below me but I managed to pull a few strings and get him up into our wing.
“Obviously it was a big change for him, coming into a school like PAC, and to help him out through that was amazing.
“And then to go out on a Saturday and watch him take screamers on everyone and kick goals from everywhere each week was something I will never forget.’’

Do I smell a bit of draft tampering here by the Crows, allowing Gould to slide to the 20’s to their second pick? Just so weird that he got super fat before the draft combine. He went there much heavier than normal, then dropped a lot of it not long after? WTF is with that?

It’s easy to forget how good Gould is at this time of year.
I couldn’t give a stuff if he put on a few kg’s after winning a senior SANFL flag. He’s one of the very best players available in this years draft.
