The afl site has us taking 3 or 4 picks in the draft. We have 66, 67, 68 and 71. We lose the picks if we don't have spots open. No one is going to want to trade for late picks in a shallow draft. We might have to delist and pick up players like Mayes in the rookie draft. Hopefully we have a cunning plan.

Who is the player that people here are praying to slide to us. What players would address a key defender and some speed across the lines?

For speed, i’d really like Brady Rowles with one of our 60’s picks

Sharp at pick 29 please. With Duursma on an opposite wing, it addresses some much needed leg speed issues, has a good leg to.

With Dixon not getting younger, Marshall still an unknown, Howard & Billy out the door...who can we realistically target in this years draft to fill what’s been our Achilles Heel for such a long time?

Harrison Jones 196cm 78kg expected to go around pick 30 as the only key forward.

Others are key defenders/key forwards.

We may have to go for a state based players.

If hes 106 he is drifting into Lance Whitnall territory and there is a real risk he might never meet the professional standards required for modern AFL football.

Combined with his height he is one I really dont want.

His height is really a strength not a weakness. Yes, he can cover tall forwards but he’s not a key defender. He is an intercept marking, rebounding, defensive general. Shannon Hurn is such a good comparison except Gould comes with an already fixed position.

I went from 74kgs to 108 but that took me 2 years... (was stay at home dad... lost 80% when I went back to work)

I lost weight a stay home dad for about 6 months. Stressed me out too much. Put the weight back on when i went back to work!

Still don't get how a very fit 18 year old can stack 8kg in a couple of weeks. What happens if he gets injured and can't exercise for a few months? Anyway.

How do you put on 8 kilograms in two weeks? That's dedicated.
Use a different scale works best

Apparently Fischer McAsey tested as ’not a bunch of sticks tied together’ on the combine’s scales too

If we pick Gould I’m not sure we need another mid backman , he’d be replacing Hartlett or Burton and denying Garner . Fair enough if we move Burton but I think I’d look mids or key position in the first round .

Replacing Hartlett is precisely what we need to be doing. Or he could replace Jonas. Win either way.

We don't lose them. We just can't use them to pick up players if our list is full at the time they come up. They're still available for using in matching bids on Mead even if we only have 1 empty list spot at the time he is bid on.
