I still feel like it’s the media that are pushing this move and it won’t happen. I’d be very surprised if Collingwood let him go because we’d make out like bandits.

I like the concept of him at North more than I like the concept of giving a good pick for him.

Not sure. They reported that North wanted to give a second , but Collingwood wanted 2 seconds of 1 earlier.

We shall see tomorrow. But not before 3.30pm......

One second plus an upgrade of Collingwood's pick 38 could be a possibilty.

what the saints are doing now reminds me of vosstober. i fear for their club if this gamble of theirs doesn't pay off. they'll be in even more sh*t than we are on-field in a few years and in massive debt too.

Reminds me more of Scottober, I think it will become a barrier for younger players.

IMO they are ****ed, they keep bringing in all these C & B grade players but they just don't have the A grade talent to take that next step. A lot further away than they think they are.

Overachieving with a limited list can be a cruel temptress and lead a club to some silly mistakes. We should know.

Good luck to them for having a crack, but I tend to agree with you. They bring in a bunch of good solid role players without the A grade cream to actually do the business.

Honestly reckon we were a lot closer than they are currently.

Goldy, Swallow, Cunnington, Wells, Ziebell, Harvey, Petrie was a very good core of players, and all had/have elite attributes one way or another. We just couldn't maintain any sort of consistency.

They have Steele as probably their best, with Ross, Billings & Gresham and perhaps Crouch now (if his hamstrings hold up) in their next tier. But apart from some promising young players it falls away very quickly after that. Zak Jones is more likely to miss the ball with his foot than hit a target, Ryder is a million years old, Hannebery will be lucky if he has a septum left, ditto Carlisle. People reckon Polec is soft? Well Brad Hill is in a whole category of his own...
They desperately need a few of their kids to kick on within the next year or two.
