Let's see I guess.

I welcome him but I don't agree with how we've traded (purely my view)

Chop, stop being such a sour puss.

If all things go to plan, after tomorrow and draft night, we will have one of the most exciting group of youngsters in the comp.

Collingwood asking for a first is a joke yeah? If that’s the case it was never a salary dump and we walk away.
Put the 2nd Rounder on the table and walk away. I wouldn’t even be haggling.

Something stinks about this whole deal. You don’t salary dump what you consider to be one of your best young talents, unless something is not right.

That would be like us salary dumping Jye Simpkin.

The fact Collingwood is even entertaining this brings up some red flags.

What have we failed on? A 4th round 7 pick downgrade for a new HB flanker? Pick 30 for a bloke heading into his North Melbourne retirement season?

Go and have a look at the Pies board. They are absolutely melting at the prospect of losing what they consider their best young talent for any pick, let alone a second rounder. Imagine how much easier this kid will find it if he's just one of many gun junior talents in a club.

As an aside, I ignored your last post based on "having seen him play this season" because you've been stoic on Brown it would be unfair to dwell too much on it.

Atu Bosenavulagi

Height 179cm
Weight79kg
Birthday September 17, 2000

STRENGTHS: Acceleration, footy IQ, goal sense, defensive pressure
IMPROVEMENTS: Accumulation, consistency, endurance

SUMMARY: Collingwood Next Generation Academy prospect Atu Bosenavulagi has enjoyed a breakout year in the TAC Cup, putting his hand up for draft selection having appeared in all of Oakleigh’s games. The small forward excites with his breakaway speed and a sixth sense around goal, booting 15 majors this year in a stacked Chargers forward line. His speed means he has a good presence inside 50, averaging 4.5 tackles per game and winning the hard ball when it comes to ground in dangerous areas. A raw talent at this stage, Bosenavulagi can work on his accumulation and endurance should he look to move up the ground in the future – possibly onto the wing. A better endurance game will also lend to greater consistency, and it would be exciting to see those eye-catching flashes of brilliance more often as he showed towards the back end of the year. Given his NGA ties, he could well find his way to the Pies with a late pick alongside Oakleigh teammates Isaac Quaynor and Will Kelly.

Pick 1 in the 2021 Draft will be hotly contested, crazy to be aiming for it.

All of Crows, Dons, Hawks, Swans at a minimum will be aiming for it.

We will have it by finishing last....

Or did I miss something?

Stephenson won the RS by sitting at the back of packs kicking easy goals. The kid is no star.

Yes, we have needed a seagull for 2 decades.

That's his job. Like Fruity before him.

Interesting there’s interest our end for Phillips.
We were linked a while back, but I doubt we were ever interested. Journalists thought since we thinking about trading Polec that we would want a replacement in Phillips. Pure guesswork.

What’s all this talk of us being prepared to move on Pick 2 for later picks? The only way we move on Pick 2 is for some absurd offer you would think?

If Brady and the list management team rubber stsmp this for anything other than an absurd offer, then we deserve to wallow down the bottom. Offloading Pick 2 effectively is saying we are happy to give up a better shit at the very best talent available for 2 players that with a bit of luck might be elite.

Too risky for mine. Back in your research and take the best talent available, which is at Pick 2.

Unlikely?

If we do that it would be completely ridiculous.

We can meet half way mate.

I'll be honest, if it wasn't a salary dump and we were chasing him first I'd consider 11 fair. It'll end up around 13. But that's in the light of fairness. If it was 11 and their 2021 first was thrown in I would snaffle it.

I'm not sure it'll even matter, only one pundit coming in with talk of 11, most seem to think it'll be a package of second rounders (of course, of he chooses us). It should really be whatever value we get for Brown because the contracts seem to be about the same. I'm completely confident if it goes ahead whatever is traded we will feel like the winners.

No thanks to Phillips

All just mindless speculation to fill air time because the media equate us delisting 11 blokes with needing every warm body in the draft pool to fill out our list.
