I agree with you, Jed is certainly fourth in the pecking order. Equally, there is something to be said about having a good rotation of players through the centre circle.

Used to pull my hair out at Brad putting the same three in there at the start of quarters and after every goal.

If the Constable news is true, I wouldn't mind seeing:
- A Rotation: Cunners, Jed, Jy
- B Rotation: LDU, Constable, Bonar

B Rotation has a heap of chemistry from their Haileybury days and I am bullish on Bonar (acknowledge that this is slightly unpopular).

Not to mention that after centre bounces, you see a heap more people around the ball for clearances anyway.

I should also highlight that this is partly why I think we could afford to be more aggressive with moving on someone like Dumont.

Fairly cheap player who some on here wanted, have picked a few Rich guys for the past couple of years and now Atkins.. better than having half their side leave and get in a player who they had to pay pick 2 for because of desperation

Plenty of times criticism has been warranted of them, but like it should be for everyone, some praise is also warranted

It’s the modern game, you need at least 10/12 running through the middle each game.
all the guys need to be able to play multiple roles, adding a 191cm developing mid to the team isn’t the problem.

Lots of swings and misses. The Weller deal looks alright these days to me, not the disaster it is made out to be. Zac Smith is a decent back-up ruck. Brandon Ellis as a free-agent>>>Pick 11 for Jared Polec. Greenwood clearly a great get. All Atkins is going to do is keep a good kid out of the side. How are you supposed to play all of Atkins, Ellis, Weller, Flanders, Anderson, Rowell, Bowes, Miller, Greenwood, Swallow, Ainsworth and Rankine in the one side?

. Greenwood clearly a great get. All Atkins is going to do is keep a good kid out of the side. How are you supposed to play all of Atkins, Ellis, Weller, Flanders, Anderson, Rowell, Bowes, Miller, Greenwood, Swallow, Ainsworth and Rankine in the one side?

pre 2019 their choices were terrible but 2019 onwards has been decent so far. Just looking for stop gaps and guys with leadership to guide the young players. They've got salary cap space and really good talent but looking for players to fill the void hence atkins. Their team is going to look better when Treloar comes in. Also they've moved from being the garbage collection club of the AFL to actually getting in players who want to be at the club and that's a big deal in terms of moving up the ladder.
