I am just concerned about the direction the club is going and the risks we are taking - the upside of moving Brown, Higgins & Polec seems minimal right now.

If moving all 3 of them resulted in an extra pick inside the top 5, then yeah I would be happy with that result. That outcome just doesn't seem realistic though.

Fair enough. We're all supporters that are hurting but right now, until we know the deals, we're jumping at shadows

It would’ve been an interesting season if we didn’t get shut down after week 2.
footballs an emotional game, we were running on a high after the giants win. Cunners wouldnt have gone back to the farm and started lifting bulls for fun.

Spot on. Some smart arse bumped the "How's your lid" thread, just look how bullish we were about Black, Wood, Harper and Garner among others.
It looks promising right but we have to wait and see.

Apart from Garner all the above players are soft, glad we’ve got someone in who rates hardness at the ball and man. Rather then the ability to produce a housing portfolio..

At best offer Brown a 1 year deal to make him a RFA. The contract clubs offer him will be bigger giving us a compo pick or both parties have the option to carry on.

Ben Paton from the Saints is someone who I'd be keen on. Dour lockdown small defender, was keen on him in his draft year.

Uncontracted at present, would fill a hole left by Williams but still has plenty of scope for development.

Based only on Last Dance they certainly seemed motivated by team success.

Though that side was an outlier with close to a best in history captain/coach combination. I'm sure many are happy to be well compensated journeymen.
