Nik Cox was 4th fastest in the 2km at the VicM combine. Eddie Ford had the highest running vertical leap.
I really don’t know if I’m missing something and of course I’ve never seen him play a full game. But jeez, Eddie Ford looks bloody good. That kid can football. Why is he so low in the draft rankings?
The highlights are sensational, I would be thrilled to have a guy taking marks like that for the next decade at Freo.
He looks a decent size too and well able to crash a pack and take a mark. Could be a key forward potentially? (Not sure of his height but gets off the ground that’s for sure!)

He’s 188cm same height as Sam Sturt, and he asked for all available footage on Nat Fyfe because he wants to mould his game style around him

Could well be off the board by pick 14 when we get around to making a selection.

He seems like a much bigger and more physical guy than Sam Sturt

Weighs a few kilos less then sturt I think last i seen was 188cm and 79kg unless he has grown since then

A 190cm, mobile medium/tall forward with an elite vertical leap? I reckon there a KPF solution in there for us in the medium term... love to see us drafting this guy.
Not seeing it myself, he just looks like a Jack Darling type to me - why would we want one of those?

That could be the missing piece, we have the stuttering kicking, marking forward who came home to the club from the east already.

He has a flip top head, can do ninja flips, occasionally packs his dacks and squibs contests on the wing? I must have missed that highlights vid.

Needs to master the grab defenders arm on the lead and fall forward to draw the PITB free.

Ford is one of the bigger unknowns in this draft, where he gets picked will be a big indication of how recruiters view the Victorians this year - how much stock is put into underage form versus the risk of betting on upside. Coming into the season, most had him around the 20-25 mark as a talented but inconsistent medium forward - but with the disclaimer he could go higher if a more permanent midfield move in 2020 pays off. So do you go early on the basis he may have gone earlier had he played this year?

Bit like Daniel Venables in his draft year, he was a hard one to place but West Coast went early on his potential upside. I think Ford will be discussed in the 12-25 range, perhaps a team like Adelaide or GWS who have multiple firsts but I think he's available to us if we want him.

Very much a medium forward/midfielder though. At 189cm, he's ideally not even your third 'tall' forward.

If we can somehow avoid bids on Walker and Western and get a second selection in before those bids come, then Jackson Callow could well be available at pick 32 as a tall forward option..
We have sort of painted ourselves into a corner again, a couple of injuries to our KP's and another season derailed.
Chapman, Reid, etc, or cross fingers a late pick and someone is still on the table.
Not ideal and limits your choices, and puts the spotlight on previous poor drafting.
