Will be interesting to see what happens. I like mobile talls, and don’t think they need to be KPPs to be valuable. Gunston and Westhoff for example.Have to say if Cox is on the board at our pick, I would be surprised if we leave him, he actually addresses both the needs stated by Belly and JLo, outside speed and also a developing KPF.
He could become a game changing winger making the perfect outlet dump kick/drop back interceptor leaving our 2nd ruck (Lobb) forward and deeper which holds our structure, he has the pace and kicking skills to do this. Or he develops into the KPF over time as he really is a great size and good marking player.
If he's gone on draft day I wonder if we think of live trading out our 12 (or 15 at the time) for some early seconds like another poster mentioned in another thread eg. for Crows 22+23, where we can take Baldwin/Neale/Callow without reaching too far or if we just take best available and back top end talent.
You would think with Western + Walker both addressing our needs for outside speed our focus with our other pick(s) would be a tall and probably a medium forward to replace Banfield? So if Sturt/Fyfe is injured we don't have to change our structure and go smaller. Ford would be a good option for that I think
if he isn’t available I think we still need forward/mids. Sturt and Henry may work out but we have transitioning issues forward. A massive positive for us would be more midfield goals. That is where the likes of Carroll and Cook come into play. There are a few who could be very useful for us.
