Picks 42 and 47 amount to 711 points, which is around Pick 27 at 703, being one of Freo's picks. Brady has talked about possibly doing a deal with someone to move up the order and maybe there is a club which has enough early picks to be prepared to do a swap with us.

Maybe there is a deal where we can throw Pick 20 in as well and move further up the board if there is player we would really like. Who knows what might play out between now and the draft.

Now I think about it though

We dont bid on daicos, GWS do at 2
It costs Picks 27,36,43,46 as it stands

GWS now bid on Darcy at pick 3
It costs Picks 27,36,43,46 as it stands
Our Pick 42 (now) becomes a live pick 39

So essentially, its picks 39 + 40 + future 4th for 37 plus a future 2nd

Hypothetically. Knocking this back means even if we did bid on those other two plebs. This is enough of a statement to Horn

Very true. Hey Jason look at what we knocked back for you

Always take the best player over depth.

Remember Dom Tyson, Salem and someone else for Josh Kelly?

If we retain Picks 42 and 47, the reality is, as Brady pointed out, the Pies and the Dogs will have to use a number of picks before these 2 Picks, to snare Daicos and Darcy. This may move Pick 42 into the 30's. If we don't bid, lets hope GWS bids on both Daicos and Darcy.

Jesus

NORTH Melbourne has knocked back an audacious bid from Adelaide to snare the No.1 pick in this year's NAB AFL Draft and claim local gun Jason Horne-Francis.

AFL.com.au understands the Crows offered the Kangaroos their pick No.4 in this year as well as their two first-round selections in 2022 to move up the order to No.1 this year but North is set to hold firm.

A future second-rounder going back to Adelaide from North would also have been part of the proposed deal.

Adelaide secured a second first-rounder for next year via its mega four-way pick swap earlier this week which is tied to Melbourne's finishing position in 2022.

The Swans have been eyeing that selection as a way to get the Jordan Dawson deal done however the Crows approached the Roos about doing a deal for the pick.
I would have said no as well, even without the 2nd coming back.

Just dropping by to say wow - what a play from the crows for an unproven kid. But let me explain very few players ever have attracted a cost of 3 x 1st rounders with 2 of those offered by the crows likely to be top 5 picks - a massive haul...however after watching the South v Glenelg prelim, Horne Francis is something very special and I commented on your board that no offer would tempt you guys and so it seems. All the best with him, he looks like he will be an absolute ripper and maybe we need to look at who the best tagger projects to be with one of the 3 x 1st rounders as someone is going to have to run around after him for the next 10-15 seasons when we play you guys ;)
