I honestly don't give a sh*t. I am what I am, if I sh*t people off they are very welcome to ignore me. I like ARRs posts but I don't care if he blocks me either. I'll happily read his statathons and enjoy them. He seems a bit dry at times but he's pretty knowledgeable too, we agree on a lot but he's like someones uptight grandma while I'm more like the drug effected uncle who tries to shag her dog and pinch her jewellery. I'm not everyone's cup of tea, that's cool.
I love you Gringo. But you knew that.

I think the Kings are going to be very special players indeed.

Having one of them and then snaring the second one, particularly from a building club, is the sort of thing you’d expect to happen for a big club.

Power clubs pick up all the good players originally drafted interstate.

Players fall over themselves to play for Hawthorn (once) and Richmond (now) just so they can collect a premiership medallion.

Geelong, Western Bulldogs, Collingwood etc get kissed on the dick with father/sons.

Geelong also pick up at will any player who was conceived within 200kms of Corio Bay.

We miss out on getting anything.

So yes we need mids.

And yes Ben King doesn’t guarantee a flag.

But the Kings will be special. And rival fans will drool.

So I just want them both at the Saints.

I want rival fans to finally be envious of us for some reason.

Wonderful post. I couldn’t agree more.

Getting 2 mids this year and bing next year isn't impossible.
2021
2021 Pick 7 currently- draft a inside mid.
2021 pick 8 band 1 comp JB- draft a mid.

2022
2022 first rounder and 2023 first rounder for bing.

But knowing St kilda we'll draft a key defender and another luke dunstan and Bing will blow his knee in his first pre season with us.

We might want to split our picks into many multiples. One or two high picks won't cut it this year. You'd think we'll chop a lot and bring in at least 8 players. If we can draft 6 players in say the top 40 picks that would be ok. Get enough numbers through the door and odds are some will end up to be very high quality, and at least rejuvenate the list, Port Adelaide style.

A few more of these type of picks:

13 Dal Santo
21 Maguire
37 Montagna
55 Sam Fisher
63 Gwilt
33 Gilbert
42 Steven
39 Battle
46 Paton
52 Byrnes
45 Highmore
Rookies - Clinton Jones, Geary, Marshall, Wilkie

I was listening on Triple M yesterday and Nathan Brown mentioned in 2018 that Jack Billings talked the saints out of trading him. Does anyone know if this is true?
Wow, haven't heard that before

watching on the couch i am super super dirty on Gags trading out Hind for essentially nothing. just beggars belief.

it's every bit as bad as Ratts getting belted by 100 points.
Yep I really loved the super HIND and Matty PARKER as well! HIND seemed a particularly stupid decision and I thought PARKER could have stiull proved mighty useful

Didn't he want to go and got a bigger, longer deal?
Would not have made sense to throw a big contract at him to stay considering he wasn't a guaranteed best 22 at the time.
Don't see how else this could have logically worked out?

On Hind’s 2020 year output, did you want him offered a two year contract?
Because that’s what the Bombers offered.
Hindsight is a perfect science.

Quinton Narkle could be nice through our midfield. Is he going west...other plenty of speed and would be nice next to our grunt guys

isn’t signing at cats so where is he going

It was hardly Gallaghers fault.

Hind was out of contract and looking to move on after

1. Not considered best 22 and
2. Being played out of position.

Not sure how you expect him to get a good deal for a 26 year old player that was taken late in the draft wasn't considered best 22.

If we had have tried to get any more Essendon just woukd have laughed at us and taken him in the PSD

If anyone is at fault it is the coaching staff that continued to play him out of position.
