Some off field knocks, but definitely was in the discussion for pick 1 in pre season.

I'm reasonably happy with our lot. No more playing inside midfielders on a wing, and no more having to play half back flankers in the guts. Yes, we have a lot of half back flankers and outside runners now, but we have two sides to fill every week, and stability in each side means a smoother transition into the senior side. Next man up will be more than a mantra.

Harry Lemmey Draft Profile

West Adelaide forward Harry Lemmey is one of the more perplexing key position prospects available, but could end up a steal come draft time.

Playing across all three grades for West Adelaide, as well as representing South Australia at the National Championships, Lemmey faced the difficult task of adapting to new teammates and different coaching throughout the year. Combine that with a temporary position change down back and early season setbacks with injury and illness, and we’re given a fair indication of how unsettled this year has been for him.

Disappointing that no one bid on Davey before the Dons had a pick, but them picking Hayes is good for us IMO. Sydney are now the wild card for a Keeler selection, but I see Burgiel as their kind of player preference.

Hawks bid on Davey, got the Dons back for bidding on and stealing Mosquito from their academy... but probably saved them a pick in the end there!

In all seriousness, we've got a lot of height in defence right now, hell, just sheer numbers. We're going to try the AFL equivalent of a 5-4-1 formation.

What we have done, is added endurance and ball movement players, in Hollands, Cowan and Binns, all of who, win their own footy, which is very important

My concern, we really haven't addressed and or prioritised pure speed and footskills

Lemmey, COULD be the best tall of this draft, can play anywhere down the spine

Just do what the rest of us do and ignore him. Bloke is the Andrew Bolt of recruiting (knows more than the experts who do it for a living). Suspect that we will get regular diatribes on the picks that he doesn't like, same as we currently get for Fisher, Newman, pittonet etc regardless of how they play.
