I haven’t really followed or watched much of this year’s draftees…

So who is available around #10 that has a neat kick, not too slow and a good decision maker?

BTW was discussing our team with my son, said our team won’t be slow anymore if we can add Boyd, Cuningham & maybe Philp with Saad

GWS - Cadman
NM - Wardlow
BRI - Ashcroft
NM - Sheezel
ESS - Tsatsas
GC -
HAW -
GEE - Clark
WCE - Ginbey
STK - Jefferson
CAR -

My take so far. Think a really good player is going to be available at our pick.

Mackenzie, phillipou, Humprey, busslinger, hollands, weddle, Hayes, Hewett

Which way would you go I think I'd go Mackenzie if he's there than Phillipou

Are GC and Hawks going to pass on their picks ;)

I reckons Hawforn would take Clark in a heartbeat - they're building a good young midfield group and planning for life after Mitchell - and I would LOVE to see the Cats miss out on him. Aints would take Mackenzie being in their academy if he was available at their pick which seems unlikely - although I wouldn't be surprised if they did take Jefferson - they're screaming for a second key tall to support big Max. Your first five look pretty good though.

I'll have a crack....

edit: forgot about Humphrey......Carlton - Phillipou/Humphrey

I also just don't see it with Tsatas. I would be pretty happy if that's who * end up with. Think he will struggle to win his own footy in the AFL and his kicking is a little too loopy compared to other elite outside users. He also doesn't seem that creative with ball in hand. He's a good runner though so will be a serviceable AFL player but I can't see him becoming a top player.

The Hawthorn fanbase seem pretty keen on MacKenzie.

Not sure who the Suns would be after. Humphrey?
Cats obviously want Clark.

At the moment looks a good chance Phillipou is available at #11.

Would trade down to one of the desperate bidders if this was how it played out. Like Phillipou and Humphrey as prospects but think we’d be better off with the outside run available in the mid-late teens. A few good tall defenders available too.

BOY OH BOY NORTH LOOK TO SPLIT PICK 3 AGAIN.
Would contradict this:
"There are three players at the top we rate very evenly... this gives us the opportunity to take two, rather than one of our best three."
- List and recruiting manager Brady Rawlings goes through the decision to trade Jason Horne-Francis to Port Adelaide, and split the top selection in the draft.

My reading is it would be Clarkson who would want to split Pick 3 down again. He wants to get as many good prospects in as he can. Rawlings may want to take 2 and 3 to the draft though.

If they trade down, they will have 5 first Rd'ers in 2 years. Pick2 and 10 this year, and 1 or 2 next year along with 2 more prolly between 10 and 15. All picked with Clarko's imprimatur.

Wonder who would win that battle?.....Clarkson and Viney v Brady Rawlings.

*Yes i know Clarko mightn't, and probably shouldn't be there, but they seem to be assuming he will be. So that's how they're operating still. With Clarko as Boss Hog.
