Anyone reckon WCE might be interested in 10, 29, F2 for 12, 20, 26. Gives them 8, 10, 29 and a F2.

We could possibly look to GWS on draft night if the main fancies for our list are gone. 10 and? for 15 and 19 from the Giants. Past history has shown pick 19 is valuable as the first pick on day 2.

This would go against our stated desire to hit the draft this year a little bit. Going in with 2 second rounders this year and 2 first rounders next year. Would indicate we are not seeing any first round standouts and are prepared to delay for a year as our list gets another year older. Would we forego a 1st round selection for the 3rd year in a row?WCE have no doubt traded down to improve their draft hand in order to get access to their WA kids - pick 2 would have been a wasted pick for Ginbey/Hewett/Busslinger when at least 2 will be available at their pick 8.
It may get interesting though if all 3 were still available at that pick and they select say Busslinger - then have a nervous wait to see if either of the other two are still available at pick 12. I reckon if both Hewett and Ginbey were still available by our pick, they could possibly look at trading back in to get access to both.
Possible trade scenario: Carlton >> pick 10 and future 2nd. WCE >> future 1st and pick 20/26.
WC's future 1st could be pick 1 - Harley Reid, they would never give that up especially for pick 10 and f2WCE have no doubt traded down to improve their draft hand in order to get access to their WA kids - pick 2 would have been a wasted pick for Ginbey/Hewett/Busslinger when at least 2 will be available at their pick 8.

Clark will go at 7 to Geelong, Sheezel will go top 4, so unless we trade up, they won't even be part of the conversation.I'm interested in Phillipou, Humphrey, Clark or Hayes.
Not interested in Mackenzie or Sheezel.
Yes please!!WCE have no doubt traded down to improve their draft hand in order to get access to their WA kids - pick 2 would have been a wasted pick for Ginbey/Hewett/Busslinger when at least 2 will be available at their pick 8.

Rohan O’Brien said today on Trade radio the Eagles were happy with there current draft hand. Pretty sure with our current list position we will want to use at least 4 draft picks this year.WCE have no doubt traded down to improve their draft hand in order to get access to their WA kids - pick 2 would have been a wasted pick for Ginbey/Hewett/Busslinger when at least 2 will be available at their pick 8.

I like that idea but it means best case scenario our first pick isn't until 20, and we still only have two picks inside the top 40.WCE have no doubt traded down to improve their draft hand in order to get access to their WA kids - pick 2 would have been a wasted pick for Ginbey/Hewett/Busslinger when at least 2 will be available at their pick 8.

ForwardWhat role does sheezle play?
I've noticed every club they've spoken to on trade radio and leaks in the media have publicly mentioned trying to get a top 7 pick, Sydney, Dees, Carlton... Clearly most clubs believe theres somewhat of a drop off in ability after that range. I'm similar to you in that I couldn't really tell you who would be a truly good fit from about pick 10-17. Probably why we've heard talk that we're trying to move up the order.Just an observation, but is anyone else concerned we may fluff or whiff this draft? Our pick is at such a position that most of the elite prospects will be gone. Our pick therefore to me is going to be speculative at best. I agree there’s going to be a number of solid kids available, but I’m just not sold on anyone at 10. I’d be happy to trade back for a couple of picks and double our chances of success, such is the evenness of 10-30. Maybe the Swans, they’ve had a quiet trade period. Thoughts.
Here's Humphrey is my No.1 hope we get to the club. He is exactly what we need. If he slides and we don't grab him with 10 I'll microwave my membership.I'm interested in Phillipou, Humphrey, Clark or Hayes.

West coast need to give us pick 20 & 26 this draft for Carlton's pick 10 as wellWCE have no doubt traded down to improve their draft hand in order to get access to their WA kids - pick 2 would have been a wasted pick for Ginbey/Hewett/Busslinger when at least 2 will be available at their pick 8.

Some quality will be there @ 10. I am more concerned Austin is too conservative and can not take risks to engineer 4 or 5 top 40 picks. He would not want to complete this draft making only 6 selections over 3 draftsJust an observation, but is anyone else concerned we may fluff or whiff this draft? Kicking looks ordinary here - whatever the traits are of our first pick, elite kicking has to be top of the list
But did his team mates go to his birthday party? For anyone whose watched draft day
Worth asking the question. They can say no. They might say yes.WC's future 1st could be pick 1 - Harley Reid, they would never give that up especially for pick 10 and f2
