If the Giants use anything close to the Hawks stupidity for their trade offer, I'm scare to think what they'd ask for.

Surely won't move our F1 now. Can see F2 and 49 being there for 22/23 but not sure it does the trick.
Nic 'Kenny Rogers' Austin- "You gotta know when to fold them".

Two years in a row, we've got the players we wanted - traded for more need moreso than best available

Motlop was the small forward we needed and this year Hollands is the two way running winger/ midfielder we needed

It would be great to round out with a taller player and another small forward.
Somehow trade F2 (and throw in 49) to get Hayes (20s) and Hotton (29 which is now early 30s)

Imagine walking away with Hollands, Hayes and Hotton for the additional costs of F2 - I'll happily take that :D

Make it happen Austin!

People seem desperate to offload F1. Think it's more about wanting some instant gratification which I get. Don't think there is anybody left worth trading it for.

Hayes if we’re looking for a key defender who doesn’t need to play straight away.

Otherwise, I agree with you. There will still be talent on the board when it comes to pick 32.

Only Hawthorn might be silly enough to accept this deal.

If we truly believe we will improve next season towards the top 4, there is still some value left, with players who can be a part of that push.

Currently have our F1 as 15+, especially considering some of the talent already tied to other clubs.

It depends a bit on what you get back.

But what about George? Very highly rated this year, is a need, has only slid back due to the knee. Will be right to play at the same time as any F1 pick, but will have had a year at the club already.

I'm certainly not desperate to trade F1. But we have been very open about wanting another pick before our next. How do we get it?
Not sure that many 20s picks will be on the table?
Giants' #22 certainly, but that will be expensive.
*'s if a pick comes for Davey, which would be best case scenario, for F2 + #46.

Still think we go best available. Mid, small fwd, half back doesn't matter. We have about 4 tall fwds and 4 tall backs in our best 22 and we kind of survived a total demolition on the injury front. Don't think we draft for best 22 needs - I'm actually very excited to see who Austin and Agresta like
Reckon we'll go best available with our next pick.
After that it might change how we view it.

Something about Philippou's attitude/demeanour gives me big Stocker vibes.

Would still take him in a heartbeat tho.
They'll soon be teammates, however being at the scummiest club in Victoria (yes) might beat the FIGJAM out of both of them them in the end. 😂
