Yeh its not as bad as what people are suggesting and there are some pretty ordinary sides

Yep and it’s not as if North are going to improve massively. Have Essendon improved that much? GWS are finally taking a rebuild seriously. All 3 could easily finish below Hawthorn. Then don’t rule out Port, I am so not convinced with Port.

Also just remembered you guys have a F/S that is very likely to be bid on very early on Day 2 of draft night which would wipe out your pick 25.

Looking at it

Pick 22 (GWS) - Could want a big bodied mid
Pick 23 (West Coast) - Again could want a big bodied mid
Pick 24 (Bulldogs) - Won't want a big bodied mid
Pick 25 (Essendon) - Could want a big bodied mid, but pick could be wiped out by F/S bid
Pick 26 (North) - I would be surprised if they pick a mid with this pick
Pick 27 (Sydney)

So to me there are only 2 clubs (GWS and West Coast) who are serious threats in taking Hustwaite before the Swans pick, of course that is assuming Sydney want Hustwaite as well.
Don’t think WCE will go another big bodied Mid. We picked up Culley in the Mid Season plus we just grabbed Ginbey & Hewitt isn’t exactly a small guy. Also have Hough & Chesser who should both fill out.

North, Dons, GWS, Crows, Eagles, Suns the concerns

Everyone focuses on losing JOM and Titch but they did add Amon. Plus Sam Mitchell imo one of the best coaches if not the best in the game and hes playing a way in which they just win atleast some games

TBH id be happy to finish last with Reid

GWS would have had three live picks before WCE with Rowston originally expected to go in the mid 20's, now they'll only have two + their academy player.

So I don't see how it changes anything for WCE.
If GWS had got Konstanty, they probably don’t go Darcy Jones.

There are still WA kids on the board and it’s not as if WCE are against Vic kids anyway. You are never going to get a perfect draft especially when you are talking 15+ range in an open draft
But there aren’t any other WA kids like Darcy Jones.

I know WC don’t always go WA kids, but Jones was perfect for them, and left the Vic country kids for GWS and the metro kids for the Vic teams.

Eagles been heavily linked to Ryan a half back flanker which makes sense

My moneys on him at eagles next pick

They also seem to like that local Kaleb Smith aswell

I did a very early mock and had then linked to a KPF, Gruzewski the only one there really, but wouldnt surprise me

Oh I like it too, but it is absolutely in the Campaigner category.
Its what any competitors that want to win, should be doing

Sydney know full well theyll have an academy kid in the future who GWS might like to repay the favour with a bit. Only thing is they wont match the bid and GWS would have paid overs for someone

Swap of picks + their f1. Hey it’s overs but it was offered lol
The Age article someone posted said Sydney were chasing an F1 in return for their pick 15 and warned them they'd be bidding on Rowston if they didnt accept. Kind of seems like draft tampering to me if thats how it played out.

Putting that aside if im GWS im swapping Richmonds F1 for the pick once they were warned. I dont think a Rowston bid would've come in the next few picks so they could've essentially ended up with a draft haul after Cadman of

Konstanty, Jones, Weddle, pick 22 and Rowston

Vs

Rowston, Jones, Pick 22, RichF1

They already have bid on our academy kids anyway

Yep hey it’s overs but it was offered and we snooker GWS into a corner with the 9 ball! Still hilarious

Imagine caring that GWS for once didn’t get a leg up, good on the Swans I wish other clubs had some balls too and wouldn’t let other clubs get the free ride they’ve gotten - I know I can’t talk getting Darcy & JUH 😂 but at least we actually were forced to pay up and it was still a huge leg up for us.

Aw boohoo GWS didn’t get a freebie, Swans are campaigners for doing what’s in their best interests!!

They also lost Gunston, and Shiels too from their midfield.

I don't think 15 for richmonds F1 is actually a bad offer, especially when it comes with a warning of what would happen if they didnt accept.

Think we wanted the Giants f1. I agree with you Tigers f1 isn’t horrible lol
