These arguments are dumb though tbh, we need a ready made tall defender. Any 18 year old doesn't help our current list gap at all.

McCallum is fine because we actually do need some dedicated half backs rather than the wing/half backs of Bonner/Farrell/Bergman/Duursma that we've been playing.

Just watched McCallum’s highlights, although, not the player I expected…

His highlights show some safe hands, he didn’t double grab any marks and has decent leap.

I can see him working on Port’s backline setup. Zoning off and floating into contests.
