I think GC could be gun shy on Clark given what happened with the Henry/Bruhn, but I reckon Hawthorn would back themselves in to take him, and it would certainly be fun for them given their hatred of Geelong already.
I agree. I think Clark would be a better fit at the Hawks. GC have enough similar mids

Possibly. Here are some of his highlights as a key defender (Mainly against Keeler) late in the season at u18.

Switched forward late.

But I still think he’d be better as a key forward. These are good highlights that show those often talked about Nick Riewoldt type traits.

ok, I’m convinced. I know they are ‘highlights’ but when I see a player that tall who takes the ball at its highest point and is a good field kick and looks composed in traffic, that ticks a lot of boxes.
there is a lot to like. able to play both ends of the ground is a bonus

Here is the link to the championships full games. It's actually kind of hard to find this on the site. Well worth watching. There are guys who have good highlights packages that cant get a kick in some of these games, and it gives a better overall picture of the players. The NAB league app has games if you want to see more of the vic boys.

They just HAD to go and say that... Also around our pick..

Jefferson has done it all for Metro and the Chargers as a forward. He’s intelligent in his positioning and has really improved his conversion across the year, plus has a leap that few possess. He will need pre-seasons in the gym to become a genuine key forward, but there’s a lot to work with for clubs.

Previous ranking: 16

Best traits similar to: A taller Ollie Henry

A taller Ollie Henry if he was a shocking kick at goal, maybe

My thoughts on who we should target with our picks:
16. Lewis Hayes
Despite the recruitment of Frampton, key defender is still a major need. Will Kelly was lucky to survive delisting and Charlie Dean is a speculative pick at best. Its finally time to use our first pick for a premium key position player.
25. Brayden George
I'm hoping the knee injury allows him to slide to Pick 25. Perfect replacement for Ollie Henry.
27. Harry Barnett
I think he is Grundy 2.0. We need a ruck and if available we should snap up the best ruckman in the draft. I would also consider Isaac Keeler at this pick.

For Rookie Draft, i would focus on smalls. Ideally a running small defender and an outside winger.

The ideal pick ups for Collingwood would be:

Pick 16 - Hayes

Pick 25 - Keeler

Pick 27 - Lemmey

Similar to what Carlton did in 2015 with Weitering, McKay and Curnow. That's the spine sorted for the next the 10 years.

That us a very interesting prospective comparison. I certainly would go with Hayes & Keeler as you have suggested. I am not so sure about Lemmey as his stocks seem to have fallen significantly over the last 6 to 12 months. However that may be a characteristic of some of the so-called bigger guys at this really young age in their careers. Regardless it is an interesting scenario to consider. Goodnight & good luck.

Between me and you, he'll be a steal for whoever picks him up and I think it will be us

I agree with Hayes but George has an ACL and you don't waste draft picks on Ruckman

If Brayden George is a top ten talent and he is available in mid 20's I would take him. The 4 recruits we have picked up are all best 26. We have others that fall in the 26-35 range so we have time to get a top end talent right.
With our last pick that will be in 40s somewhere I would love to see us take Casey Voss.

So given most talls are adel based, I checked their board. Lemmey and Scully don’t even rate a mention, rookie picks etc….

Keeler low 20’s seems to be the “vibe”

Yeah, I’m a bit on an island in terms of my undying love for Lemmey and that’s why I raised him as a possibility. Pretty sure he isn’t in the top 40 phantoms of the draft watchers on here or Twomeys.

I just think given he was resoundingly considered a top 3 pick leading into the year he’s still worth a speculative throw at the stumps with our last pick 29.

Personally I don’t think playing seniors (and reserves) for a significant portion of the season helped him. Given he is still very slight and was asked to be a focal point.

There has also been a theory he suffered from long covid after getting it early on in the year. As he’s aerobic capacity looked off to normal.

He’s still got the talent and innate forward craft (leading patterns) because you can see it in glimpses, even in his bad games.

Yeah, he was pretty impressive in the champs. I think i just like Hotton's class and finishing, seems like a more damaging player, but Clarke seems pretty well rounded. His tackling and competitiveness does remind me of Jamie for sure.

IMO Clarke is the most dangerous small forward in the entire draft class. (Excluding maybe the injured Brayden George who’s probably more a medium forward anyway. Edit. 🤦 and Sheezel of course…)

He kicked 29.21 in his 15 NAB league games and was only scoreless twice. He also went at 2 goals a game across the champs.

He just innately knows how to find space in the forward line, put the footy through the goals and never really has a shocker. But more importantly it’s not just all about goals, he is actually able to find the footy and be part of other players score involvements.

Skip to 2.49m on the below where he is discussed for a bit
