On AFL site saying Collingwood are offering this years pick 50 and 51 for Frampton and surely if correct, shouldn't we be grabbing that to help us get our FS with pick 46 and maybe a late pick for a ruck KPP player was well.
Disappointing to hear not trading or can't trade Crouch as somehow getting any sort of pick a advantage, and have to clear some list spaces for Rankine and 2 rookie upgrades and like to 3 draft selections as well.
Not sure how going to do unless payout a contract or 2 .

stop worrying about crouch

rowe, frampton, brown will all gone

seed will retire

mcpherson must be paid out to release a spot

crouch stays unless mitchell to pies falls through

one thing we have not said is that afc must be congratulated on stopping the bleed we are not losing players anymore

port have done well today but they also lost amon to get this done - their net team is not better next year it will take at least a couple of years to be visible

other than horne none of what is coming in is quality it's c grade stuff which has been their strategy for a while although their drafting has been fantastic

We haven't had elite talent for 5 years and someone with that extra element of class for a decade. Its now become a tradition. lol
This club is hitting every KPI for mediocrity. Watching Port build their team and fix the gaps in their list is depressing.

Adelaide: just watch us - in five years we’ll be awesome.
Everyone else: sure you will.

Thanks for your thought Kornes.

You must be happy Port have yet again found those missing pieces...

A small forward to replace Gray and allow Roezee to sit in the middle all game…..
An elite mid to partner with Roezee and Butters for years to come.

And Adelaide…..anyone want a Crouch brother?….anyone? Anyone? How about McAsey? Anyone? Sholl? Anyone?

Have a bex & lie down...

frampton for 50 and 51

will dunkley go to the psd?

would we take him? whether he wanted to come or not
If Dunkley went to the PSD and, by some miracle, made it to our pick and we didn’t take him we might as well shut the doors and hand our fxin license back.

I think we'll need to make the tough call on Seeds. A whole season without being able to train for any decent length is troubling for his health and at his age the chances of him getting back to an AFL fitness level are pretty slim.
It’s actually fxxken ludicrous that the club hasn’t sat him down and told him to give it up.. time to retire, we will give you a job at the club if you want to hang around the club/work in the industry.

I mean, they can’t honestly believe he will still be there for their next finals tilt can they?.. and they are keen to get him back on the field to help out..

Not sure how I feel about our off-season assuming nothing further is to really happen.

Rankine is is a great get but the lack of list turnover / picks in the coming draft for a team that hasn't been competitive in so long and is meant to be in re-build mode just doesn't seem right. With the way we're going, we really should be far more competitive next year and pushing for the 8 otherwise I feel we've made a mistake on the list management side of things.

JHF failed deal last year may is a blessing, I think.

Adelaide offered three first-round picks for the No.1 pick last year to take Jason Horne-Francis. The Crows have ended up using those picks on Josh Rachele (No.6 in 2021), Jordan Dawson (a future first-rounder in 2021) and Izak Rankine (No.5 in 2022).

It is worth noting with this that we have turned over half of our list between the end of 2019-end of 2021, which is a rather ridiculous - and unsustainable - pace.

Don't you worry though, next year is going to be another big year with list turnover seeing we have 20 OOCs, and most of them kids.

What an absolute milksop of a comment

Its easy to stay when nobody wants you. Matt Crouch - who was actively shopped around , who was told he could find a new home will stay on our list - and yay we arent losing players anymore
