Marchbank back is good, looks like he has recovered well. Hoping for a strong game then a return to seniors after that.

What I'd really like to see is Kemp have a big game as the third tall defender. He's just struggled in the VFL to really have a break out game in this role offensively. Kemp IMO is someone who hasn't gone on with it this year as much as I had hoped. All that talent surely can be transformed into something special.

Stocker hopefully gets amongst it. Would like to see him leave kickouts alone this week and push up the field, try and get the ball more on the rebound, this is the part of his game that needs to really lift IMO. His running ability (two way at pace) is about half of what the top AFL half backs (Saad Docherty etc) can produce and is less than what the mediocre defenders (Newman Williams) can produce so he needs to work in this side of his game. Footy talent is there.

It's not a bad side, hope we can hold this ladder position.

I wonder if we will bother pulling one out at half time given the game is the day before not the day of. The sub still won't play of course.

I'm curious to know what development plan is in place Stocker.

We've had ample opportunity to push him into the middle this year, yet are persisting with him down back.

He has been solid in the role but has neither excelled nor been given a run at it despite our defensive injuries all year.

With Dow I've watched him improve his strengths and work on his weaknesses. It's far from a wasted year for him and I feel this will be proven next year.

From the outside the opposite appears to be the case with Stock though. Should be playing regularly in the seniors by now.

Pitto only got a couple of games early, Marchy, Stocker, Kempy, Honey, Motlop, Carroll, Fogarty, Boyd, maybe Setterfield. How do they qualify to play if our seniors are not featuring on the same weekend?

No more than 12 AFL games.

Any player that plays a senior AFL match after July 1 needs to have played 6 VFL games for the season to be eligible. That's how I read the rules at least.

Would mean all those players would be eligible at this stage except Honey, Marchy and Pitto.

Ed will be eligible so long as he doesn't play any afl games (only need to have played 6 vfl games if a player plays afl after July 1). Marchbank will obe eligible if he doesn't play any afl games between now and finals.

(c) Despite any other provision of this Rule 20, but subject to Rule 20(d), where a Club has both its AFL and VFL Senior Teams engaged on the same weekend, any Player may be selected to play in the VFL Senior Team so long as that Player has played in at least one AFL or VFL Senior Grade Home and Away Match in that relevant season

They're all eligible except Cuningham.

If playing same day, yes, logical. More about if seniors play on different weekends or seconds go further. Just crossed my mind when Pitto not selected for ones.
