Could we expect a flood of players coming back for our final VFL game to set us up for finals?

Williams, Boyd, Cuningham, Cerra, Curnow and Honey would all have to be some sort of chance to play this week and that's with just Mirkov going out. Cuningham I believe has to play this week to qualify for VFL finals. It would be great for him to finish the season playing rather than not playing, even if it's just one game.

Could be a massive boost for us with the last game potentially being a knockout game.

As of right now, we have 15 players who should be eligible for VFL finals without any issues, with a further three who would be eligible if not for them being out for the season (McDonald, Philp, Parks).

Cuningham is the only name that would have to sit out all VFL finals unless he plays this weekend at some level.

Further to this, the rest of playing list would be ineligible for the first round of the VFL finals, but would become eligible for the following round, as per VFL rules.

I can see this hampering a number of players pushing for their selection in an elimination final berth, namely Owies, Williams, Newman, Marchbank Plowman, Honey, Newnes, and one of Pittonet and De Koning.

It'll be interesting to see if we play the full compliment of 15, though I doubt it. I think we'll probably wind up with 10-12 AFL listed players on the day, subject to Cuningham and Williams' status this weekend.

Same implications as the seniors game
We win, we play finals
Unfortunately after a Bright start our reserves team has really copped the brunt of our injury malaise. Would be a great win for them to get up

VFL side in the exact same situation as seniors. Been in the 8 all year but will miss if they lose. Their tumble also started with a poor away loss to a bottom 4 side the same week the seniors lost to Adelaide.

It's a curtain raiser to a sold out game, and there's VFL finals on the line. If they're not being rested, it's a great hitout for any available AFL players.
