Last year after Chandlers first win when everyone was throwing Gatorade on him Salem and someone else decided to throw their protein shakes on him. All of Trac Lever and Gawn were pissed about it. There was footage of Trac helping Chandler clean his hair after the game and Lever was cleaning the milk off the floors.

It will always be a balance. We don't want to gut our list and ruin our future either. Trading Salem out for Breust would be irresponsible. Surely you haven't forgotten what it feels like to be one of the worst teams every assembled for 10-15 years? We don't want another repeat. But you're right in that Breust would be good. Gunston even better but I wouldn't want to be giving anything away for anyone over 30.

I am not suggesting this trade goes ahead, as Salem is just 27 and contracted until the end of 2026. But if Melbourne traded him out would Bowey not be a suitable replacement?

Exactly right. Salem plays a position we have some decent depth in. If we could trade him out and get a pick back to draft a need that would be good list management in my view.
